Getting to Alnmouth
The peaceful seaside village of Alnmouth is roughly 5 miles east of Alnwick and situated on the Northumberland Coastal Route - with beach views pretty enough for a postcard. Whether you’re excited for a day by the sea or fancy a round of golf at one of the village’s specialist clubs, getting to Alnmouth should be easy.
By car: Alnmouth is a 5 or 10 minute drive to the east of Alnwick and the A1, which runs directly through the county - but can also be accessed via the Northumberland Coastal Route which is well signposted throughout the area. Enter the postcode NE66 2RJ and your Sat-Nav can take it from there.
By bus: if you’re travelling to Alnmouth, Arriva’s 418 and X18 bus services operate via Alnmouth and run right across Northumberland. Take the 418 to travel from Alnwick to Berwick-upon-Tweed via Alnmouth, or catch the X18 to go direct to Alnmouth from Newcastle.
By train: Alnmouth’s train station is on the East Coast Main Line, which connects Newcastle and Edinburgh. Jump off at this station and you’ll be right outside the village.
