Just a short distance from Alnmouth, Alnwick (5 miles) is a fabulous market town that’s filled with historic intrigue and winding streets to tour. The town is home to a famous castle with beautiful grounds and gardens, along with a host of shops, pubs and restaurants that you’ll love to try. Another fabulous destination is Howick Hall Gardens, 7 miles along the coast. This ancestral seat manor house is well worth a visit with walking trails all around and a tearoom for much-needed refreshments.
