Share a seaside escape to remember at this charming former carriage shed in the heart of Alnmouth. Sleeping four people across two bedrooms, it’s ideal for families or groups of friends in search of a historic cottage to call home while discovering the spectacular Northumberland coast together. Spend happy days strolling along the beach or hiking along the sandy dunes, and in the evening, check out one of the village’s chic seafood eateries, or come home to host a fun al fresco dinner in your cottage’s lovely courtyard garden.

Step inside through old carriage doors and you’ll be welcomed by an inviting open-plan lounge/kitchen/dining area where a calm, nautical aesthetic is created with charming décor, a cosy electric fire and beamed ceilings. Slip onto a sofa to admire the lounge’s modern-seaside styling, before heading to the shaker-style kitchen area to whip up some dinner. Gather everyone to eat at the dining table, or head out into the lovely courtyard garden to dine alfresco. After dinner, catch up on your favourite TV shows by the flickering electric fire in the lounge area. At the end of the day, head upstairs and you’ll find two beautiful bedrooms. The master bedroom offers a sumptuous king-size bed, an ornamental fireplace and a handy en-suite shower room, while the second bedroom is a lovely twin decorated in beachy hues. Completing the layout, you’ll find an elegant shower room on the ground floor.

Wander the famed cobbled streets of the historic market town of Alnwick (5 miles), which lead to the iconic Alnwick Castle, which you may recognise from the Harry Potter films. Or head to Amble (7 miles) to stroll its bustling harbour, browse the Harbour Village Craft Pods, or sample some fresh seafood.

We had a lovely stay at The Sewing Room. The cottage is beautifully decorated with lots of home comforts and super cosy beds. The location is fab. A two minute stroll to the beach and in the centre of Alnmouth village for the pubs and shops. We are stone baked pizzas from the Red lion and a delicious meal at Bistro 32. Fab time had by all x

A fantastic week in Alnmouth at the beautiful Sewing Room - great location only a minute from the beach, and very comfortable for three of us with a dog. Lovely welcome hamper too full of gorgeous local produce. Would highly recommend.

The cottage was lovely, nice and quiet, tucked away from the daily hustle and bustle of the Alnmouth tourist season Very comfortable with all the amenities that you would expect. The outside space boasts a lovely sheltered area shared with next doors house(split by a small picket fence), and in June had sun for a good part of the day. We had a relaxing time in our cottage The Sewing Room. The property was immaculate and had everything we needed, including a fantastic welcome pack full of goodies. We loved sitting in the courtyard having our breakfast in the morning and feeding the little birds. Would definitely book again in the future.

Cant really fault the Sewing Room, everything was of a good standard, the location was excellent for the beach, cafes and restaurants. Having the enclosed courtyard to ourselves, the other property being vacant was a real bonus. Excellent all round.
