The coastal escape welcomes six guests and provides ample space for friends and families, with an open-plan living area, a snug, and a gorgeous south-facing terrace. The holiday home is less than 500 metres from Alnmouth’s sandy beach, and nearby days out include the historic market town of Alnwick (5 miles) and the vibrant seaside town of Amble (6 miles).

The apartment, which is arranged across three floors, has relaxed, coastal interiors with beautiful natural tones and textures. From the shared entrance, open the door to the holiday home and head upstairs to discover a cosy snug with a TV, board games, and comfortable sofas. Up a further flight of stairs is a bright and sociable lounge/kitchen/diner. Prepare meals for the group here, which you can share at the bench-style dining table or at the breakfast bar, before gathering for a movie night around the Smart TV. You’ll also find a twin bedroom and the family bathroom on this level. The remaining bedrooms – a king-size and a double – are reached via another flight of stairs, and both boast en-suite facilities and coastal views. From the snug, doors open onto your private, south-facing terrace where you can dine alfresco and enjoy the estuary views. You’ll also have access to a ground-level yard with a tap for rinsing off sandy shoes. A parking permit is provided, with further on-street parking nearby.

There are some fantastic walking routes branching away from the village, including along the banks of the River Aln and following the long-distance St Oswald’s Way.

This is an excellent property in all respects. The location is top notch. There are superb walks from the door. The village has well above average restaurants, a very good village shop and a brilliant delicatessen. Private parking takes away the worry of getting parked. We plan to return.

Highly recommend the Penthouse for its location, comfort and style. We had a blast! The weather was dreadful but the house was bliss.

Amazing property, everything had been thought of to make the stay comfortable. Loved the snug for the sports fans. Great views from most windows and about 30 steps to access the beach. Alnmouth is also beautiful with great pubs, shops and a big yes to visiting Scotts on a daily basis for coffee and treats/food. We will be back. What a fantastic property and so close to the beach though parking is a problem even with permit provided. The outside space for drinks in the sunshine was used a lot. Alnmouth has become one of our favourite places to stay but once your car is parked with a permit, leave it and enjoy the beautiful walks.

We had a lovely break staying in the Penthouse with 2 friends. Easy access to beach, shops, pubs and the golf course. M&S Food Hall and other supermarkets ten minutes away. Apartment very well equipped and comfortable. Lots of Historic houses within easy access and lovely walks from the Penthouse. We hope to return next year.
