This traditional, pretty, two-bedroom stone cottage is located in the centre of Alnmouth village in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Just 0.5 miles from the beach, it boasts period features and is the perfect base for a couple or small family plus one dog looking to experience village life plus beach and coastal walks. This cottage is bursting with charm and character, and it offers a serene, calming atmosphere so you can really unwind between adventures along the Northumberland coast.

Exposed stone walls, wood-beamed ceilings, and comfortable decor make this a welcoming retreat. The ground-floor lounge is a cheerful spot with a window that floods the room with natural light. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with its plump sofas and armchair while a wood burner keeps things cosy on cooler nights. A compact dining table overlooks the lounge. For informal meals, step through to the galley kitchen to eat at the breakfast bar. If you’re not in the mood to cook, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and cafes just 400 metres from the door. When night falls, climb the staircase up to the first floor and choose between two double bedrooms. Both bedrooms feature calming, neutral tones while one has a pretty window seat where you can people-watch. In the morning, enjoy a coffee outside at the small patio table.

Alnmouth is a small village with a range of shops, restaurants, and a 9-hole golf course. Alnmouth Beach is situated behind the village (0.5 miles) and is a beautiful place for a dog walk. The cottage was so cute and welcoming. There was an excellent choice of dvds, wow a great treat. Very well situated and people who live permanently in their cottages were lovely. Great choices for eating out, breakfast to dinner. Few minutes walk to a great beach and lots of dog friendly areas and walks.

Great location but tight parking especially when there are work vans around. You need to make sure you leave early if on a tight timeline! The property is just as compact as it looks in the pictures but if there are just two of you under 5ft 10 its perfect. There are lots of lovely places to eat in Alnmouth and surrounding area. The coastal walks aRead morere great two. Dont go to Barter books to shop on a wet day as parking there is a nightmare as the whole world is going there too!! Hide

We enjoyed our stay at platone cottage, it was smaller than we expected but the location was excellent. Getting the car to the cottage and back out again proved trickier than we thought it would, but it got easier as the week went on as we got better at it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable, nicely furnished and decorated, and served our needs very well as we were walking different stretches of the wonderful coastal path. Getting out of the parking space if there were quite a few cars in was a bit of a challenge but doable. Some of the doorways are on the low side - maybe 5ft10 -Read more and I banged my head a few times when I forgot to stoop. Hide

The cottage was in a good location with only a short walk to the local shops and good restaurants. The property was well equipped . Access to the property for parking was very tight I was glad we had a small car.

The cottage itself was small but suitable for my sister and I. However, I thought fro the information provided beforehand that I had booked one of the Lovaine Cottages overlooking the estuary but that proved not to be the case.
