This period cottage enjoys a prime position in the colourful coastal village of Alnmouth. The spacious holiday retreat welcomes eight guests and is ideal for large families and groups of friends seeking a relaxing seaside getaway on the stunning Northumberland coast. Alnmouth’s wide, sandy beach is just 0.5 miles away, and you’ll also have easy access to the Northumberland Coast Path.
The Georgian cottage is decorated in a contemporary style, with a calming colour scheme, plush soft furnishings, and little nods to the coastal setting in the accessories and artwork. Step inside and into the hallway, before moving through to the social hub of the house. The bright and spacious kitchen/diner boasts gorgeous flagstone flooring and exposed stonework and is a lovely spot to gather for mealtimes in the glow of the cosy wood burner. Just off the kitchen is a handy utility room. In the evenings, unwind in front of the Smart TV in the lounge, or take yourself off to the sunroom with your holiday read. Completing the ground floor, via two steps, is a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. Upstairs, a further three bedrooms await. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms, and there’s also a family bathroom on this level. Outside, dine alfresco in the attractive courtyard garden. The property has on-street parking, subject to availability.
Alnmouth is a picturesque village with pastel-coloured houses and quaint cottages. The town has some excellent independent coffee shops and restaurants, and is also home to the smallest museum in Northumberland. The area is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts, and for keen golfers, a visit to the scenic Alnmouth Golf Club, which enjoys far-reaching views to Coquet Island, is a must for the itinerary. Day trips from the cottage include the seaside town of Amble (6 miles) and the historic market town of Alnwick (3 miles).
