Explore the Cheviots from our Cheviot Hills holiday cottages

Set beside the Anglo-Scottish border and occupying the northern part of the stunning Northumberland National Park, our range of Cheviot Hills holiday cottages are perfect for keen walkers and climbers, or for visitors to this peaceful region in search of a tranquil getaway. Around this isolated area, Cheviot cottages provide a range of self-catering accommodation for couples, families and groups of friends looking to explore this remote and dramatic landscape. Our selection of Cheviot Hills cottages can be found on the outskirts of the mountain range, in the picturesque market town of Wooler and in tiny villages such as Howtel, Mindrum and Cornhill-on-Tweed. Ideally situated for discovering these ancient hills’ secrets and hidden gems, the range of Cheviot holiday cottages include charming barn conversions, traditional stone cottages and stylish country houses. For a wider range, you can check out our Northumberland National Park cottages, or our Northumberland cottages spanning the entire county.

Sitting at the northern end of the Pennine Way, the Cheviot Hills are home to the 18-metre Linhope Spout waterfall and the remains of an Iron Age hillfort at Yeavering Bell. Walkers and cyclists can explore College Valley, an area first occupied in the Stone Age, with the unique wedding venue of Cuddystone Hall lying at its heart. Other parts of the hills include Hethpool Linn, the Border Ridge and Wooler Common. There are chances to spot a wide variety of wildlife including roe deer, otters and wild goats. Northumberland’s highest peak, the Cheviot, is towards the south of the region. The region is known for its magnificent peaks, but there are also more gentle spots including Breamish Valley and Harthope Valley.
