From this main room, a twin bedroom and bunk room with an extra single bed can be accessed via a bespoke sliding door, a quirky feature that makes this place a memorable one. Outside, the patio area offers an opportunity to gaze out over the countryside views, or even stare up at the Dark Sky Reserve after nightfall to spot the glistening stars in the distance.
Those seeking adventure can make for the Pennine Way (2 miles) to walk a stretch of the long-distance footpath, the oldest of England’s National Trails with plenty to see along the way. For a change of scenery, head to the Northumberland Coast to Seahouses (22 miles) and you’ll be able to hop aboard a wildlife-watching boat trip, walk a stretch of the coastal path or simply sit back and soak up the tranquillity of the water on one of the golden sandy beaches.
