Lovely spacious cottage. Literally just a short walk through the sand dunes to an enormous sandy beach. We had a sunny stay and used the decking at the front and the well-tended field at the back to sun ourselves. Lots of space and a great playground for an energetic 3yr old to exhaust the adults. Inside was spacious, well equipped and worked well Read moreas a working and social space. Al in all, we loved it and hope to be back. Hide

Amazing place, highly recommend, very spacious new and clean. The setting is superb with a fabulous play area and so close to the beach. We will definitely be coming back and bringing friends and family as the cottages are nice and close to each other but you dont hear other guests. The peacocks wandering round make it extra special. !SELECTED!OnlyRead more slight improvement would be to get new mattresses as not the best, but everything else was fantastic. !ENDOFSELECTED! Hide

If you’re looking for a seaside holiday with a difference, visit Northumberland – a region brimming with beautiful golden, sandy beaches, rolling hills, craggy moorland, bustling market towns and fishing villages, and more castles than in any other county in England.

Situated in the North East of England, this designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty boasts no less than 39 miles of unspoilt coastline to explore and a calendar packed with exhilarating water sports options. To indulge in a spot of surfing, kayaking or powerboating, take a trip to one of the many breath-taking Northumberland beaches - where dogs love a good walk and fresh local seafood is never far away.

Home to the awe-inspiring Cheviot Hills and the historical Hadrian’s Wall, the Northumberland National Park is renowned for its open spaces, award-winning Dark Skies and stunning rural backdrops - and is the least populated national park in Britain. Offering access to challenging hikes, horse-riding, rock-climbing and a multitude of other action-packed activities, the park is one of the region’s greatest draws.

There is a huge range of spectacular wildlife and sea life waiting to be sighted, whether you take a boat ride to the Farne Islands to admire the colony of Atlantic grey seals and puffins, or explore the Kielder Water and Forest Park, home to magnificent ospreys. If it’s history you’re looking for, the imposing Bamburgh Castle and the world-famous Alnwick Castle are undoubtedly worth a visit.

Alternatively, if you’re seeking the bright lights of a city adventure, Newcastle upon Tyne is the place to go. Here, you can experience world-class culture, outstanding attractions, superb shopping, impressive live shows, top entertainers and delicious cuisine in abundance.
