The compact kitchen contains everything you could need for preparing delicious home-cooked meals, while the lounge area beyond is equipped with a Smart TV and DVD player. Upstairs, the two bedrooms are light, airy and elegantly decorated in soft muted tones. With rural views by day and starry skies by night, the decked terrace is a fantastic spot for al fresco dining.
Set out on foot across the dunes to reach the vast expanse of sandy beach at Low Newton. Popular among bird watchers, bathers, sandcastle makers and rock poolers alike, this beach is perfect for families. After a busy day on the beach, grab a bite to eat at one of the two friendly local pubs, one of which has its own microbrewery. Head north along the coast to reach the water sports mecca of Beadnell Bay (7 miles), or stroll south for Dunstanburgh Castle and the village of Craster (6 miles). 10 miles inland is the pretty market town of Alnwick, home to the famous Harry Potter castle.
