This four-person cottage enjoys an unrivalled coastal location on the outskirts of Newton-by-the-Sea – a village hailed as one of the prettiest in Northumberland. Part of a private complex, it is perfect for those looking to enjoy adventures throughout the day and later return to homely self-catering accommodation in the evening. Great for families with children thanks to the array of excellent on-site amenities (including an outdoor play area), it also has direct access to a huge sandy beach just 100 metres away.
Light and airy throughout, this seaside retreat is immediately inviting. Enter through double doors and leave sandy shoes in the conservatory area, where comfortable chairs and a dining table offer somewhere peaceful to sip your morning coffee. From here, you will find the well-equipped kitchen, served by lots of helpful appliances, including a washing machine. For meals at home and evenings of entertainment, the lounge/diner is the place to be, boasting appealing sofas, a TV and a coal-effect electric fire. With seating for up to four, the dining table has ample space for meals at home, but you can also make use of the outdoor dining furniture when the sun is out. For refreshment and repose, you will also find two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower over the bath.
For days when you don’t feel like wandering far, there is ample to see and do from your doorstep, whether in the shared gardens, the on-site games room or the beautiful local beach. You can also stretch your legs and wander to one of the two eateries within 1 mile of the cottage (the closest only 0.5 miles away). Further afield, Beadnell Bay is 7 miles away, Bamburgh Castle is 10 miles away and the picturesque seaside town of Seahouses is 7.5 miles away.
