No.3 Bamburgh Gate is a comtemporary and stylish, single-storey, holiday cottage for two and it is dog friendly so, you can bring your four legged friend on holiday too! It is the third and most recently developed conversion of a set of three former agricultural buildings. Smartly clad in black shiplap boards, it has the look of a Scandinavian summerhouse and is just as cosy and warm inside. It has an open plan lounge/kitchen with reclaimed beams, one double bedroom and a large shower room.

Once inside, with unspoilt open views south over open countryside, No. 3 Bamburgh Gate is set in truly relaxing surroundings, yet the bustling Bamburgh village with its excellent range of shops and restaurans, its breathtaking iconic castle and beautiful, golden sandy beach are just 10 minutes away by car. Thanks to two sets of large French doors, the cottage is flooded with natural light - bringing a spacious and open feel to the property - lie in bed and count the sheep!

With a cosy wood burning stove set on a reclaimed natural stone hearth in the spacious lounge, a private, enclosed patio garden, Wi-Fi, (please see Accommodation Summary), a walk-in shower room, modern kitchen facilities and private parking, you will feel completely at home in this cosy, Northumberland cottage.

During your stay at 3 Bamburgh Gate, you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of a Northumberland red squirrel, from the comfort of your cottage. There is a special feeder outside the property, where guests can encourage visits by placing hazelnuts in the special feeders. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sightings!

The village of Lucker, the nearest village to Bamburgh Gate (1 mile) now boasts a village shop, gastro pub, pizzeria/creperie and a beauty spa with a pool!

If you’re holidaying with a larger party (up to 6 guests), 3 Bamburgh Gate has two sister, cottages for couples which can accommodate one additional couple each. No.s 1 and 2 Bamburgh Cottage are located next door.

Very comfortable cosy cottage in good location. Very quiet with lovely views over farm fields. Great base for touring around local area and good value for money. We really enjoyed our first visit to the area and will definitely return and recommend!

A very nice small cottage, with everything that you need, and a great location near Bamburgh and the A1. Comfortable, with a quiet seating area behind the cottage which feels private despite having adjacent cottages. Easy to find, and unlike some holiday cottages has handy parking. The only downsides were a bed a little short for me at 6ft, and an Read moreover-sensitive smoke alarm that didn't like the toaster being used. Hide

A very peaceful location with easy access to the A1. Not suitable for someone with reduced mobility as the access was via steps. Well equipped cottage .

Good location, 10 mins drive from Bamburgh and the beach. Easy access to the A1 to travel to Alnwick, Lindisfarne etc. Lovely little cottage with everything I needed, garden over looks the fields and was nice to sit and chill in the sunshine. Very nice accommodation with excellent facilities and well fitted out in modern styling. Situated just off the A1 so easy to find and just 4 miles from Bambourough down a windy B road. Lots or nice seaside villages and fantastic beaches all within 30 mins drive at the most. The Farm islands are well worth a visit from Seahouses and Lindisfarne is aRead more popular attraction. on the Saturday we stayed we a lot of rain and it came down the chimney liner in to the room on to the fire ,when we lit the fire we had a smell of wet tar in to the room.

This was our second visit to Bamburgh Gate. We stayed in No. 2 last year but opted for the larger No. 3 this year. We again werent disappointed and arrived to a spotlessly clean cottage. The privately well kept garden is ideal for our 2 dogs. We will certainly be booking again as its perfect for us

Lovely, well equipped and snug cottage from which to explore the area. Close to Bamburgh for walks and dinner, and to A1 for exploring. Spotlessly clean! And chilled Prosecco on arrival was a lovely touch.

The cottage was lovely and warm and lovely view across the fields. Plenty of space and very comfortable seating. Very accessible to all major attractions in area. Only negative is lanes are narrow and dark so not suitable to walk to local pub/ restaurant. However would recommend.

Such a cute property - cosy and really well thought out for a comfortable stay. Everything you needed was thought of. Easy access to all the coast as close to the A1 - Berwick upon Tweed, Durham, Alnwick all accessible and well worth visiting. This is a lovely little cottage, very clean, comfortable, and in a very convenient location only 2 mins from the A1, and very close to Bamburgh, Seahouses etc. Facilities at the cottage were sufficient, and all items worked well. Although the cottage is listed as dog friendly, the immediate area is not particularly suited to walking dogs, particulaRead morerly those short walks for bathroom breaks, last thing or first thing. Excellent. Hygiene standards were really up to scratch too. Everything worked! TV, wi-fi, shower - nothing to complain about at all. Would fully recommend this place. Close to the A1 as well making visiting places very easy.

The accommodation is in a good location for travel to other parts of the coast. It has a nice open aspect overlooking fields, although there is nowhere to walk the dog directly from the property and the road is quite busy. The apartment itself is bright and has a comfy sofa, however there is only a bench with stools to sit at to eat your meals whicRead moreh is not very comfortable. Really lovely cottage, cosy and well equipped. Despite there being other cottages adjacent it still felt very private. Gorgeous views from the living room and bedroom and only a 15 minute drive from the absolutely stunning Bamburgh Beach. Would highly recommend staying here.
