What a lovely little cottage this is, we did worry that it might be too small being all on one level, however, the layout is excellent and it feels bigger than it is. Very cosy, lovely decor and the garden is perfect for a relaxing and listening to the birds. Only problem is the bed is so comfy you don't want to get up! We have now stayed at no1,2,3 Bamburgh gate. They are all cheap and cheerful. Everything you need as a base . The location is great, it's close to Bamburgh and so close to A1 which enables you to visit all the beaches and local villages with ease. Would definitely use these cottages again .

Small but perfectly formed and a great location. We very much enjoyed our stay. The property isnt for anyone intending on cooking complex meals, but as dog owner the secure back yard was great, and the lovely view a bonus. We were there in January and stayed cozy and warm thanks to the log burner.

We were a little surprised at the location (maybe this was our own fault for not doing more research) but when the property was advertised as Bamburgh we didn't expect a ten minute drive to get to that location. Generally clean and tidy. When advertised as having a fridge freezer we thought the freezer area would be larger (we took a lot of pre-preRead morepared food we had cooked at home). Wardrobe space was limited (a cupboard in the kitchen area). Parking was good and private. Adequate for a week stay Hide

The base cottage was superb and proved perfect for the places we wanted to visit. The local food at Purdys was excellent in terms of price, service and an all around package. The cottage was superbly presented, it's quiet and has great views.

We had a delightful stay at this gorgeous cottage. It is small but perfectly formed, ideal for a couple. We had our dog with us too so the set up was great with open plan living and doors opening to secure garden. While you can't really walk anywhere straight from the property due to the road and no path, it's an ideal base for exploring the NorthuRead moremberland coast. The pub in nearby Lucker is lovely too. The cottage had everything we needed for our long weekend. Very clean too. Hide

Communication was good pre arrival with clear instructions Sadly when we arrived it was clear the cottage hadn't been cleaned since the last guests vacated so we had to make some calls to get this remedied before we could settle in and unpack. Once we had managed to contact someone, they came over to clean the flat and offered to pay for us to go oRead moreut and get some food whilst the place was cleaned. Whilst we were not particularly hungry at 5pm, it seemed a sensible way to get out of the way Hide

Lovely property in a good location. The cottage was spotless. Only negative for us is the size of the outside space for multiple dogs. It is a small (but very pretty) yard. Our dogs are medium and large and it was too small for our needs. Suggest identifying this to would be dog families.
