There, you’ll see the resident wildlife and Longstone Lighthouse, where local heroine Grace Darling once lived and worked – you can discover her fascinating story at the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. Make a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (15 miles); the tidal island is home to cafes, an ancient priory, and a castle.
