Property code: OC-GD0468

Sitting in a quiet, gated complex, this luxury cottage with stylish interiors makes the perfect base for a seaside holiday with friends or family. It’s in a peaceful spot yet close to everything in Bamburgh, with amazing views of the castle and just 0.5 miles from the beach. It has three gorgeous en-suite bedrooms and an enclosed patio garden.

One of three stunning cottages, you’ll find high-end fixtures and furniture throughout and the layout has been designed to capitalise on the cottage’s amazing location. Go upstairs to the spacious, elegant lounge, where you can relax in front of the electric fire, watch TV, and admire the views. The gorgeous kitchen/diner is on the ground floor, with a dining area for enjoying memorable meals cooked in the contemporary kitchen. The super-king-size zip-and-link bedroom is on this level, as well as a cloakroom; the king-size and twin rooms are on the first floor, and all the bedrooms have sleek en-suite shower/bathrooms. Take your coffee or a glass of wine out to the patio garden and while away an afternoon with a good book, fire up the BBQ, and dine alfresco on warm evenings.

Pop out and visit the array of restaurants, cafes, pubs, and shops in the town. Explore the impressive castle that towers over the beach (0.5 miles). This sweep of golden sand is perfect for surfing and windswept walks, with views out to the Farne Islands, which you can visit on a boat trip from Seahouses Harbour (3.5 miles). There, you’ll see the resident wildlife and Longstone Lighthouse, where local heroine Grace Darling once lived and worked – you can discover her fascinating story at the RNLI Grace Darling Museum. Make a trip to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne (15 miles); the tidal island is home to cafes, an ancient priory, and a castle.

For our requirements, to my mind Edynwell is the perfect holiday cottage in the perfect location, so much so that we have already booked for our 4th holiday there next summer.

Beautiful cottage with stunning view of the castle. Really well equipped and immaculate throughout. Excellent central location but still very private and the pet free status is perfect for us as my husband has a dog allergy. Third time for us and wont be the last!

The location is great, pubs and resturants all within easy walking distance and an easy drive to the local sites in the surrounding area. The beach is amazing and the view from the cottage overlooking the castle is lovely.
