One of a collection of three holiday cottages, this property sleeps four guests in 2 beautifully appointed bedrooms, one a king-size bedroom and the other a single bed that converts into a double. The family bathroom, is well appointed with a shower over bathtub, toilet and basin. The property is tastefully furnished and decorated, with an open plan layout for the kitchen, dining and living areas. The cottage benefits from being on one level. With a beautiful garden to the back of the property area overlooking the magnificent rolling fields of County Durham this cottage is an ideal place to get away from it all. This cottage accepts one well behaved dog too!
Perfect for walkers, ramblers and cyclists of all levels, you will find many established public footpaths, cycle paths and bridleways that lead from Knitsley into the heart of Co Durham and through the Durham Dales. The cottage offers a secure cycle store and even a paddock and stable is available on request.
Just along the road from the cottage is the Old Mill Pub and Restaurant which has been tastefully converted from old converted Mill House. Serving food from 12-9, 7 days a week, it is an ideal place to stop off to refuel after a day of exploring Co Durham.
The award winning Knitsley Farm shop and cafe is just a short drive from the cottage, serving delicious home cooked food including their award winning breakfast and Sunday Lunch. The farm shop has its own bakery and butchery section, as well as a wide range of local goods to buy.
Beamish Museum, the world famous open air museum, tells the story of life in the north east through the 1820s, 1900s and 1940s.
