Set in a tranquil, idyllic hamlet in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country, this cosy cottage studio for two is ideal for walkers, cyclists and sightseers exploring the Northumberland countryside.

Delightful cottage studio for two located in Humshaugh village in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country - a World Heritage Site and also close to the attractive, historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge in Northumberland. The vibrant centre of Newcastle is just over half an hour away, great for shopping, live music and theatre and the world famous Dark Skies area of Kielder Reservoir is only an hour away.

The Falding Studio offers a very high standard of self-catering accommodation with quality, modern furnishings set in a peaceful, idyllic spot in an area that is very popular with walkers, cyclists and lovers of the beautiful countryside which dominates this whole area.

There is a large, enclosed garden to sit and relax in, as well as a patio area with furniture for dining outside.

Guests have access to a set of golf clubs, 2 bicycles and a couple of tennis rackets during your stay and there is a summer house for storing boots and outdoor gear etc.

With off road parking, Wi-Fi, a great pub in the village, as well as an award winning village store, this delightful little cottage has it all.

The combined bedroom & seating area was rather cramped however the kitchen area was fine. Garden had a good seating/relaxation.

Excellent location,well thought out and everything you might need available in the cottage. Friendly welcoming owners who also provided lots of helpful hints during our stay, nothing was too much trouble. Welcome pack on arrival of tea and biscuits excellent,lovely private garden not overlooked. The cottage is within walking distance of a village sRead morehop for emergency supplies and a local pub serving very good food. Locally Hadrian's Wall was easily reached either on foot or by car,but also the coast was also accessible by car very easily. We visited a couple of national trust properties particularly enjoyed Cragside and would love to go back. Hide

Well equipped and comfortable. All mod cons supplied. Adjacent private parking for car. Quiet environment and ideal for couple. The cottage was perfect! The owners live on site and could not be more helpful for any assistance .

The area was really interesting, we did a lot of walking near Hadrian's Wall which was great. I would recommend Vindolanda for a fascinating visit and the Angel Pub at corbridge had fab food and service.

It was compact and ideal for two people.....the couple running it are lovely and we loved Winston their beautiful black Labrador. The studio had everything, was immaculate and all good quality. Definitely going back.

Peaceful studio with everything you require and a friendly and helpful host. Extremely clean and well appointed. A lot of thought had been put into everything. Lovely outside seating area. Ideal for two people. Visited Hexham, Otterburn Mill and Kirkhale Craft Centre. Have already recommended you. We will certainly use you again.

First class accommodation, spotlessly clean. All appliances and cutlery provided including towels and linen. Beautiful area that was so quiet and relaxing yet within walking distance of local amenities and attractions. Surrounded by outstanding country side and lovely locals. A really well thought out, top quality studio (5 Star). Extremely comfortable, with everything you might need for a holiday away from home! Set in a quiet situation, but central for exploring the Tyne valley, Hadrians Wall, yet only 30 minutes drive from the Metro centre and Newcastle. Made very welcome by the owners, Heather & Alan, who live on siRead morete. We have been to holiday rentals for many years but never to one set out better than this. It has the Wow Factor as soon as you walk in the door ! The accommodation has everything you might wish for. Extremely comfortable and in tip top condition. Outside, a pleasant garden, with table and chairs for breakfast or a glass of wine ! This was on a patio with a lawn to one side and a bench under the trees. Plenty of shopping in Hexham (Tesco, Waitrose, M&S and lots of small shops, worth a walk around). Also, visit Corbridge, a drink overlooking the river not to be missed. Hide
