Delightful cottage studio for two located in Humshaugh village in the heart of Hadrian’s Wall country - a World Heritage Site and also close to the attractive, historic market towns of Hexham and Corbridge in Northumberland. The vibrant centre of Newcastle is just over half an hour away, great for shopping, live music and theatre and the world famous Dark Skies area of Kielder Reservoir is only an hour away. Why not take a walk and treat yourself to a Michelin Star dinner at restaurant Hjem, Northumberland's most prestigious eatery just 1.5 miles away.

The Falding Studio offers a very high standard of self-catering accommodation with quality, modern furnishings set in a peaceful, idyllic spot in an area that is very popular with walkers, cyclists and lovers of the beautiful countryside which dominates this whole area.

There is a large, enclosed garden to sit and relax in, as well as a patio area with furniture for dining outside.

Guests have access to a set of golf clubs, 2 bicycles and a couple of tennis rackets during your stay and there is a summer house for storing boots and outdoor gear etc.

With off road parking, Wi-Fi, a great pub in the village, as well as an award winning village store, this delightful little cottage has it all.

Small let but very comfortable and functional. We met the owners, pleasant folk who gave us some good advice, we're more than likely going to book a return visit in the future. Having grown up on Tyneside it was nice to be reminded how beautiful and varied the countryside is in Northumberland.

The host (Alan) was very friendly and recommended some great places to visit. The accommodation was clean, modern and well appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable. WIFI was available and sufficient for streaming TV and films. The cottage was small, but certainly big enough for two and as we were out all day and late into the evening most days, we only needed it for sleep and shower!

Wow! What an amazing little studio. We enjoyed a week here and the luxury of the studio made our week. The Falding Studio is beautiful! We had a fabulous stay and were made extremely welcome by our hosts. Instructions for arrival were clear and precise and we were delighted by the welcome gift and the personal recommendations from our host when he popped in to check that everything was fine for us. We found The Falding Studio comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. It is just right for two people or indeed one person wanting to enjoy a short break in the area. The owners very welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful location, very friendly hosts and very friendly locals. Although the property is small it is very well designed and doesn't feel that way. A brilliant base for sightseeing across the whole of Northumberland and into Cumbria.

As noted by other reviewers, this is an excellent, well equipped and compact apartment with plenty of room for two people. Alan was very welcoming and helpful. The availability of an electric car charge point only a short walk away at the village hall was particularly useful for us. The accomodation is superb in every way good location for seeing a beautiful part of the country, very well equipped really nice setting had a really nice time, there is a pub which is a 5 minute walk away, and a nice walk from the Cottage which Alan had suggested and a nice welcoming gift when we come up again would look to book here again

Had a lovely staycation exploring Humshaugh and near by places of interest., which the owners recommended . The falding studio was very well equipped and comfortable. The village was lovely and peaceful and neighbours very friendly. The Rose Crown inn provided excellent food, service and friendliness. The Sunday roast is a must have..

Small but perfectly formed. The Studio was larger than it looks in the photos online and had everything we needed to make our week in Northumberland comfortable. A well equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals once I was used to the hob. Well situated in the village and an easy walk to the local pub.

The Studio looks tiny but has everything you need for a great time. Included in the price is a summer house full of equipment for the active - bikes, golf clubs, badminton and tennis racquets. There was a welcoming bottle of wine cooling in the fridge and the means to cook whatever you wanted to. The hamlet is pretty and the locals friendly. This is a gem of a place. The location is good for most of the highlights in the area. The studio is compact but clean, well equipped and perfect for a couple. The host is helpful and friendly. I thought the property was a stand alone studio from the information provided but it is in fact attached to the main house...
