Beautifully furnished, traditional sandstone cottage on a private, no-through road with stunning sea views towards Holy Island on the Northumberland coast. Perfect getaway for families and couples.

A beautifully furnished, traditional sandstone cottage on a private, no-through road with stunning sea views towards Holy Island and a beautiful sandy beach nearby – what more could you ask for a family or friends get-together on the wonderful Northumberland Coast?

One of three adjoining character cottages on a farm with miles of superb sea views over open countryside, you'll find yourself right at home as soon as you step in the door. The plush sofas and warming wood burner of the living room are a welcome sight after a long day of exploration, and the sociable kitchen/diner is the perfect place to plan the next day's activities over a delicious meal. On those warm summer evenings, enjoy a sun-downer or an al fresco dinner and take in the spectacular coastal scenery from the comfort of the front terrace's garden furniture before heading upstairs to one of three inviting bedrooms, all with far-reaching sea views.

Walk or drive to the golden sands of Cocklawburn (1.5 miles) for a day of seaside fun or stroll along Cheswick’s stunning beach (2 miles) to Holy Island's causeway. Spittal Beach and promenade are also close by, 3 miles to the north. For walkers and cyclists, there is a range of inland and coastal trails, including the popular Sandstone Way. Head to Berwick (3 miles) for history, culture, the Lowry Trail, shopping, and restaurants. Visit Holy Island for Lindisfarne Castle (12 miles), while Bamburgh’s breathtaking castle and sandy beach are 18 miles away. With so much more to see and do in the area, you will be hard-pressed to fit it all in.

Lots of Space for the 5 adults. Very powerful shower. Loads of crockery, cutlery pans etc. A cottage would definitely look to book again as price was good too. ThankRead mores Hide

Sea for miles is a beautiful cottage in a tranquil, picturesque setting surrounded by nature and picture perfect scenery. The cottage is well equipped, clean and well maintained. Having a bathroom downstairs was ideal for bathing sandy children straight in from the beach. The location is pretty remote which we loved but you do need to drive to pubsRead more/restaurants etc and the beach is a tad too far for little legs to walk to. However, by car it took 5 minutes. All in all a fantastic break. Hide
