Walk or drive to the golden sands of Cocklawburn (1.5 miles) for a day of seaside fun or stroll along Cheswick’s stunning beach (2 miles) to Holy Island's causeway. Spittal Beach and promenade are also close by, 3 miles to the north. For walkers and cyclists, there is a range of inland and coastal trails, including the popular Sandstone Way. Head to Berwick (3 miles) for history, culture, the Lowry Trail, shopping, and restaurants. Visit Holy Island for Lindisfarne Castle (12 miles), while Bamburgh’s breathtaking castle and sandy beach are 18 miles away.
