The location is fantastic with views right onto the harbour and out to the Farne Islands and a few minutes walk into the town of Seahouses. The pub next door is a bit noisy particularly on weekend evenings. Superb for dog walking along sandy beaches or the coastal path and lots to explore within an hours drive.

The cottage was spacious and comfortable and with wonderful views of sea, harbour, coastline and islands. We particularly enjoyed Alnwick Castle and Gardens and Etal Castle. Seahouses itself is well provided with eating places. An Italian restaurant is particularly good as is the Indian restaurant.

Farne View is light, warm, comfortable, nicely furnished and good location. Farne View was one of the best cottages we have stayed in - and we stay in a lot! We loved the walk along the beach to Bamburgh. We stopped at the Grace Darling museum and a coffee shop before the return journey along the road. We were also lucky enough to arrange a short trip to the Farne Islands to see the seals in abundance before the weather changed. Also had visits to Alnwick, Holy Island and Berwick. Unfortunately we were too late in the year for admission/midweek admissions to the castles in the area but that's just something to save for next time! Hide
