We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is in a great location next to the river Coquet and it was a lovely walk along the river bank into Warkworth where we can recommend visiting the castle as well as trying out the pubs and restaurants. All well priced, clean and serving good food. The cottage is also well placed for visiting far afield toRead more all that Northumberland has to offer. The cottage itself is very well equipped, warm and with plentiful hot water. The beds were softer than we are used to but very comfortable. The upstairs lounge on the second floor was a great comfortable space to retire to in the evening - might be difficult for anyone who struggles with stairs but we just used bigger glasses and took everything up that we needed. We did feel that the cottage would benefit from a deep clean but all in all it did not detract from our comfort and enjoyment. We would definitely return. Hide

This was our second stay at Coquet Lodge, and I did wonder if I would enjoy it as before. But I enjoyed it more! In terms of comfort, decor, facilities and location it is five star. Such a beautiful, quiet location too, yet close to restaurants, shops, pubs and local attractions and fabulous beaches.

Great location, however it was difficult to find initially. Very peaceful, lovely river walk to the village. The cottage is on a farm, connected to working out houses. Inside, the cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The only negative is that it is in need of a really good clean (cobwebs everywhere) and updating decor upstairs.
