A newly renovated for 2020 barn conversation, one of three, set in the heart of the Northumberland countryside with your own private hot tub.
Sitting on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, there are plenty of tracks to walk, cycle and explore close to home. Sleeping four guests over two bedrooms, this bolthole is great for small families or friends with a love for the great outdoors. A creative mix of traditional, retained features and contemporary style, this converted blacksmith shop is brimming with charm and character, with exposed beams and stonework and original tools. For the perfect sundowner evening, relax in the hot tub and admire the far-reaching verdant views before cosying up by the wood burner.
Step through the arched entrance and find yourself in the kitchen - the heart of the home. Exuding rustic charm with its exposed beams and stone walls, this is a lovely space in which to spend time, whether that be to cook up a storm or sit a while with a mug of tea or coffee. With everything you need to cater for dinner times, stock the elegant cupboards with ingredients and set to work preparing a delicious feast. Plate up at the table and enjoy sociable meals with loved ones before taking a tipple outside to the patio and soaking in the bubbling hot tub. The welcoming lounge is a great place to curl up on chilly evenings or for a lazy afternoon. The large, corner sofa has plenty of room for everyone to get comfortable and is perfectly positioned for flicking through the TV and watching your favourite programmes. Two beautifully decorated bedrooms have doors to outside and are tranquil places in which to drift off. There is off-road parking and an electric car charging point.
Find yourselves in Hadrian’s Wall country and travel 15 miles to the remains of the wall at Cawfields Quarry. From here, walk to The Sill: National Landscape Discovery Centre (a further 3 miles) and find out where to plan your next adventures. A 10-mile trip will take you to the bustling market town of Hexham where tasty eateries, galleries and independent shops line the streets.
