Budle Bay forms part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve, which also includes Holy Island, where you will find a wide range of wildfowl. As well as some lovely Budle Bay cottages, Northumberland is home to a glorious national park (16 miles) and a magnificent stretch of coastline that’s an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Along the coast, you can visit thriving fishing villages near our Northumberland cottages including Seahouses (5.5 miles), Beadnell (7 miles) and Craster (15 miles), all with a great choice of places to eat and drink. Some medieval castles still dominate the shoreline, including those at Dunstanburgh (18 miles) and the historic village of Bamburgh (2 miles).
