For a memorable holiday by the sea, stay at this spacious property in the friendly coastal village of Cresswell. It’s set above a bustling beachside café with the sandy beach just across the road (200 metres), so ideal choice for families and groups of friends looking to discover beautiful Northumberland. Wake each morning to far-reaching views across the dunes and sea, then stroll straight onto the beach within moments for seaside walks, paddling and ice lollies by the shore.

With its reverse-level layout, this property is designed to make the most of its coastal aspect. You’ll enter through the enclosed garden and straight into a welcoming hallway, where you can leave coats and walking boots. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, two with super-king-size beds and French doors opening directly onto the garden, plus a cosy single. One of the super-king-size rooms also has a pull-out bed for an additional child. A modern walk-in shower room completes this level. Upstairs, the bright open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area boasts panoramic views through windows on three sides, along with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, a spacious dining table and a handy desk for if you need to catch up on emails. A few steps from the landing lead to the fourth bedroom, a king-size, with windows on three sides so you can wake up to wonderful views across the sunflower fields, dunes and café below. A family shower room with WC completes the accommodation. Outside, gather for al fresco meals in the enclosed garden, equipped with a gas BBQ for easy outdoor cooking. Private parking for up to eight cars is available beside the property.

Walkers will be delighted to learn that the Northumberland Coast Path begins in the village, so you can easily explore mile upon mile of beautiful coastline. Follow the trail through Druridge Bay Country Park (6 miles) before continuing to the colourful fishing town of Amble (9 miles), where you'll find independent shops and boat trips to Coquet Island to hopefully spot puffins and grey seals. Back in Cresswell, start your day with breakfast at the café beneath the property or treat yourself to something sweet at the village's long-established ice cream parlour.

Great location right opposite the beach owners need to sort out issues of cleanliness and showers being broken unkempt bedding blind required for single bedroom skylight. Smell from cafe can be overwhelming at times.
