Lindisfarne Castle, owned by the National Trust is a 16th-century castle located on Holy Island. There are some wonderful views from the Castle, with some of the most wonderful coastal views. About 500 metres to the North of the Castle are it's walled gardens which were re-designed by Gertrude Jekyll in 1911 as part of the conversion of the Castle.

Behind the Castle there are also some extremely well preserved examples of Lime Kilns from the 19th Century.

Stick Man Trail

The Stick Man Trail starting from Kielder Castle is based on the excellent book by Julia Donaldson. An activity pack (£3) is available for families to pick up and use on the trail, which is sure to be a great family day out.  

The trail starts at Kielder Castle and is 0.75 miles long. You can park for £4.50 all day or £1.50 for an hour.
