Craster is a beautiful little village situated right on the seafront, including both a harbour and a beach, and views as far as the eye can see! If you look towards the north you will spot the magnificent Dunstanburgh Castle standing proudly in the distance, just waiting to be explored.
The village itself is home to a superb art gallery and the famous fish smokers ‘L Robson and Sons’ where you can purchase freshly caught fish, and don’t forget to try the local produce at the acclaimed Jolly Fisherman restaurant. There is also the lovely Shoreline café, a bustling hub serving a selection of cakes, soups, sandwiches, and much more (the Shoreline is also a very dog friendly café).
Plenty of walking routes start or pass through Craster, and the stunning Howick Hall and Gardens is close by, so whether you feel like a long energetic hike or a scenic stroll, there will be something for everyone.
