The Old Tack Room is a traditional styled cottage which has been converted from a 250 year old stable block. Located on a 200 acre working farm in Ponteland, The Old Tack Room is perfectly situated in a countryside location away from the hustle and bustle of city life, yet giving you easy access to the centre of Newcastle, so whether you fancy a spot of shopping, a trip to the theatre or great dining experiences in one of the many superb restaurants, you will be spoilt for choice for great days out.

Also within easy reach is the award winning county of Northumberland which is home to many top attractions including English Heritage’s Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens, The National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Gardens and the beautiful Northumberland Coast and National Park to name but a few!

The Old Tack Room has much to offer its guests, sleeping 4 guests in 2 bedrooms plus a sofa bed which can accommodate a further 2 guests. The Old Tack Room retains many traditional features including original oak beams. There is free Wi-Fi for guests to use, an enclosed shared courtyard with off-road parking and use of a games room which is next to the cottage and has a variety of facilities, including use of a snooker table, table tennis, dart board, exercise bike and more. Guests are also able to enjoy a shared garden with table and chairs and a tennis court (available from April to October).
The Old Tack Room provides a great place to stay for family, friends and business colleagues, looking for accommodation which is close to the city or airport.

The village of Ponteland has an excellent range of  restaurants, pubs, shops – including 'Waitrose' and a major bank.

Accommodation Summary

Ground Floor

Lounge area – traditional styled room with feature fireplace, double sofa (converts to a sofa bed to sleep +2), two relaxing chairs and display cabinet with equestrian memorabilia.
First Floor
Lounge/ dining room – spacious room with original wooden flooring, 2 comfortable armchairs, double sofa and flatscreen TV with DVD player and mini hi-fi.
Kitchen – breakfast bar with electric hob and oven, washing machine, fridge and family toaster.
Double bedroom – with bedside tables and lamps, double wardrobe, small TV, dressing table and stool.
Twin bedroom – with bedside lamp, dressing table and clothes rail.
Family bathroom – with shower over bath, wash hand basin with mirror over and WC.
Parents – There is a free travel cot and high chair available for your use.

Outside:
Parking - Off road parking is available for one car plus there is additional parking within the farm area if you ask the owner.
Garden - Shared 2-acre garden with patio area and outdoor dining table and chairs. Tennis Court (available between April – October) and includes rackets and balls.
Games Room – Located off the courtyard with a snooker/pool table, table tennis, dart board and exercise bike.

Bed linen, heating and hot water are included. There is an additional charge for towels at £6pppw.
