The Moorings is a spacious holiday cottage for 6 situated in the popular coastal village of Newton-by-the-Sea, home to the award winning Ship Inn pub and glorious beach walks to Dunstanburgh Castle.  The beach is just a stone's throw from this beautiful property and this area is part of the award-winning Northumberland Coastline recently awarded Holiday Destination of the Year by BBC Countryfile Magazine. 

The Moorings is an ideal place to stay for a relaxing coastal break with friends or family. Offering ideal holiday accommodation for up to 6 guests with 2 bedrooms (double and twin), sleeping 4 in the main house and an additional double bed / lounge in The Annexe which offers additional open plan space plus a roof-top balcony.

The main house offers single-storey accommodation with a lovely large open plan lounge and dining room with an AGA wood burning stove.

There is a small reading corner and for those musically minded, there is a free standing piano which you are welcome to use during your stay.

The two-storey Annexe and its roof top balcony are attached to the main house and accessed via an interconnecting door. Downstairs, there is a light and airy sun lounge, kitchen/utility area in addition to a shower room and WC. Upstairs, is a studio-style, living / bedroom with its own TV, sofas and a double bed. From here you can access the roof top balcony.

Accommodation Summary:
 
Main House:
Large open plan living / dining room: with an AGA wood burning stove, flatscreen TV, DVD player, free Wi-Fi for guests use, feature fireplace, dining table and seating for six guests.
 
Kitchen: with conduction range cooker, fridge, microwave, washing machine. The glazed door leads out into the garden.
 
Utility area: with freezer and tumble dryer.
 
Hall area: with reading corner and piano
 
Bedroom 1: with double bed, bedside tables, lamps and dressing table, mirror, hairdryer and large fitted mirrored wardrobes.
 
Bedroom 2: with two single beds, bedside table, lamp wardrobe and chest of drawers.
 
Family bathroom: with bath, separate shower, wash basin, mirror, towel rail and WC.
 
The Annexe

Sun Lounge: with french doors leading outside into the enclosed garden. There are two comfortable sofas and occasional tables.
 
Kitchen / utility: with electric oven, hob, fridge, dining table and chairs. The utility room has outdoor garden furniture and beach equipment for your use.
 
Shower room:  with hand wash basin, shower, mirror and WC.
 
Upper Floor:
 
Living / bedroom area: large open plan room with sofas,TV, electric flame effect fire, double bed, chest of drawers, dressing table and stool and small wardrobe.
 
Roof top balcony: with astro turf flooring, seating area and table for outside dining.
 
Private off-road parking for up to 3 cars.
 
Outside: There is a spacious garden with mature bushes and plants offering plenty of sheltered and secluded privacy.  There is also a BBQ for guests to use. Please note that the garden is a natural space, it is not fully landscaped or perfectly manicured.
