The Moorings enjoys an excellent location, overlooking the beautiful Beadnell coastline - with breath-taking sea views from the spacious upstairs lounge and kitchen/diner, as well as a cosy, open fire to relax beside on chilly nights!

The large conservatory leads off from the lounge area, offering yet more space to relax - with double doors opening onto the wide balcony, which looks over a rear garden terrace. This is an ideal spot if you want to catch some afternoon sun and delve into a good book in the comfort of one of the best holiday cottages in Beadnell.

When you spend your stay in one of our conveniently located Beadnell cottages, you can simply pop over the road to see the beautiful Beadnell Bay in all its golden glory and investigate the range of local watersports activities on offer. Nearby are two great pubs serving food, and an excellent café and patisserie (which becomes a popular bistro in the evenings).

The fishing village of Seahouses, boasting a wide range of restaurants, coffee houses and shops (as well as boat trips to the famous Farne Islands) is a 2-minute drive from here - with Bamburgh Castle and its beautiful village just a few minutes beyond that. Put simply, The Moorings is a superb place to stay with lots to offer a larger group.

The living accommodation is open plan and located upstairs, taking advantage of the uninterrupted, coastal scenery. The property has Freeview TV, a DVD player and Wi-Fi to keep everyone entertained during your time in the cottage.

The kitchen is very well-equipped, with everything you might need - from plastic picnic cups to cling film (not to mention 2 fridges)! It’s the perfect space to cook, socialise and enjoy a ‘home-cooked’ meal with your family and friends.

One of our most accommodating Beadnell holiday cottages, The Moorings sleeps up to 11 guests over 4 bedrooms, which are located downstairs. There are 2 double bedrooms, 1 family room with a double bed and a single, and a connecting bedroom with bunk beds to sleep up to 4 guests (suitable for children). On top of that, there’s a family bathroom upstairs and a shower room and separate WC downstairs.

If you’re travelling with the family, there’s an excellent kids' space, with a pool table and seating - which leads outside to the rear, enclosed garden terrace.

The whole of the Northumberland Coast will be right on your doorstep when you stay at The Moorings. Beadnell Bay is a beautiful, horseshoe-shaped expanse of golden sand and dunes - and you’ll find exclusive discounts available at Northside Surf School for Cottages in Northumberland guests, if you’re of a more adventurous nature!

Bed linen is included but, unfortunately, towels are not.

A travel cot, highchair and stairgate and a small amount of toys are available for families with children.

Please note: an additional refundable damage deposit of £150 is required when booking this property, payable at the final balance stage. Please telephone the office on 0191 231 3020 to make this payment - thank you!

- 18 February 2017

Lots of space and exactly how it was described online. We had a great time, a lovely area and lots to do even in the changeable weather of February. We were two families of 4. There was plenty in the area to keep the kids and adults happy with seal watching, castle exploring and beech walks. The view from the upstairs living room was beautiful. Also there is more than enough space in the house to mean we were not under each other feet.
