Situated in the stunning grounds of Eshott Hall, Stable East Cottage which sleeps up to 5 guests in 2 bedrooms offers a high standard of self catering accommodation, with a 4 star Visit England grading. Located in a beautiful part of Northumberland, this cottage is ideal for families, friends or couples looking for a comfortable and relaxing retreat from which to explore the spectacular Northumberland coast and country.

Inside the cottage, you will find a lovely light and spacious open plan living area which has lovely large arched windows with a door leading out into the shared lavender courtyard.  There is also a large rectangular dining table with seating for up to 8. The modern kitchen is fully fitted.

There are two bedrooms both with ensuite facilities - on the ground floor, there is a double bedroom and upstairs there is a family bedroom which has a double and a single bedroom.

For those looking to explore the Northumberland countryside, the picturesque small town of Rothbury, which sits at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills, is only 15 miles inland. It sits astride the banks of the River Coquet and has several quaint tearooms, pubs, shops and a riverside 18 hole golf course. The 1,000 acres estate of the National Trust’s Cragside House and gardens, once home to Lord Armstrong, and the first home in the world to be lit be hydro - electricity is a popular visitor attraction.

The traditional fishing village of Amble, known locally as 'the friendliest port' is just a short drive away and from here you can take a boat trip out from the dock steps at Amble harbour to visit the home of the Puffins and over 40, 000 nesting sea birds that live here during the Summer months. Also a grey seal colony can be seen all year round from the east of the island.

The ancient market town of Morpeth is only 8 miles South of Eshott Hall and offers a wide range of amenities. Or if you are a Harry Potter fan and wish to visit the home of the Hogwart’s, the historic town of Alnwick is well worth a visit and is only 13 miles north. Alnwick Castle along with the charitable project of Alnwick Garden, created by the Duchess of Northumberland, has a lovely woodland walk; a grand cascade waterfall, water fun based activities for children, poison garden and a restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe. Both the Castle and Garden are extremely popular attractions and are well worth the visit; a great day out for all the family young and old.

Its the first time both my partner and I had been to this side of the country, we weren't disappointed. The accommodation was inviting as we walked in, the friendliness of the staff was nice. We visited Holy Island which was stunning, so much so we would love to move into the castle!!! In our dreams.Lovely cottage, the pictures on the web don't do it justice. Lovely location too. Loads of room, nicely laid out. Great having a downstairs bedroom. Visited Alnwich Castle, a little expensive but so well worth it. Especially on a lovely day - we had drizzle but it was still good. We will be going back there, gardens are lovely. We also visited Craster and went to the Craster Fish Restaurant for lunch, oh what a fabulous lunch. Craster Skink soup and a seafood sandwich - far too much but lovely. Staff were really friendly too. Even when a coach party turned up a day early they coped! Today we visited Cragside - WOW again well worth a visit - more than once. So yes we would love to come back anytime!
