Spacious Dormer bungalow in the popular, seaside village of Beadnell close to the beach and two good pub/restaurants, post office, and fish and chip shop*. With 4 good size bedrooms, two of which are on the ground floor along with a bathroom making this cottage suitable for guests with limited mobility, off road parking for 2 cars, a garage, an enclosed paved garden, large conservatory, Wi-Fi and many more facilities to make your holiday in Northumberland a comfortable and memorable stay. Seashells Cottage is pet friendly and would suit a large family, several couples or a group of friends, divers, surfers and so on.

 Accommodation Summary


Ground floor

Entrance porch and cloak cupboard.

Lounge/dining area: Spacious room with wooden floorboards, large leather sofas, coffee table, occasional table and lamp, a flat screen TV with Freeview, Wi-Fi, DVD player and CD player, electric ‘wood burning’ effect stove, games books and DVDs. The dining area has a large, oak table with seating for 8 and leads through French doors to the spacious conservatory.

The Conservatory: Has more large, comfortable sofas to relax in after your days out and about, as well as a TV with Freeview and a Playstation 2.
The Kitchen: Modern fully equipped kitchen with everything you will need including a dishwasher, fridge freezer, a pantry style cupboard for storing your food etc. an electric hob and oven, microwave, kettle, toaster and plenty of crockery and cutlery.
The Master bedroom: On the ground floor the master bedroom has a king size sleigh bed, fitted wardrobe and bedside drawers and lamps.

The second bedroom:  Also downstairs is a twin room with pine sleigh beds and fitted wardrobes, a bedside table and lamp.
The family bathroom: Shower over the bath, wash basin with mirror over and WC plus a heated towel rail, mirrored storage unit and electric shaving point.


Upstairs:

Two twin bedrooms: With bedside cabinets and lamps a chest of drawers and wardrobe, as well as views over the village towards the sea.

Shower room: Walk in shower, wash basin and WC.


Outside 

There is an enclosed, paved garden at the rear of the property with garden and outdoor dining furniture. The garage houses a washer and tumble drier and plenty of room for drying wet suits, storing bikes, diving equipment, golf clubs and so on.

Parking 

You can park 2 cars on the drive and there is room for a further vehicle on the grass in front of the cottage.

Prices include bed linen, towels, heating and hot water.

Mobile hhone reception: The reception in Beadnell in general can be inconsistent and likewise in the cottage. You can however, usually pick up a signal across the road (opposite) from Seashells Cottage.

*Please note: The fish and chip shop in Beadnell is open from April to end of October.

Seashells Cottage is spacious clean and offers comfortable accommodation in quiet location. The property has 4 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Garage great to store bikes/boats/ wetsuits. Walk through a field for short route to beautiful beach, or slightly longer route by pavement. local shop surprisingly well stocked. 2 pubs in walking distance plus a restaurant/ cafe. Good location for Bambrugh, Seahouses, Low Newton, Alnwick. Watch out that the restaurants in Seahouses close at 8 pm!

We really enjoyed our stay at Seashells. It is in a great location, walking distance to two beaches, shop, play park and the bus stop. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the conservatory and our children loved playing in the enclosed back patio area. We had fun travelling on the local bus to Seahouses, Bamburgh and Craster. The soft play at Seahouses and a look round the RNLI station was good on the wet day. We plan to return next year. Having young children the washing machine and tumble dryer was invaluable.
