We had a nice time and enjoyed the cottage, being very spacious and quite well equipped (and great WiFi!), nice furniture and quite comfortable. Enjoyed the beaches, castles, Lindisfarne along the causeway, and more. Out on the boat to see the Seals – lovely. Recommend the Joiners Arms, but there are many great pubs and restaurants around here.

We've never visited the area or considered it as a holiday destination before so we were surprised with everything Northumberland had to offer and we'll definitely be back! A lovely house ideally situated close to beaches but in a rural location with a great view of the stars of an evening. The beaches are amazing, beautiful and there's so many of them in such close proximity to the house. Excellent facilities, Mr W always takes his knives with him and usually feels like he's "making do with the kitchen facilities when we stay at a holiday home, but not with this one... Very impressive! We've never visited the area or considered it as a holiday destination before so we were surprised with everything Northumberland had to offer and we'll definitely be back! The beaches are amazing, beautiful and there's so many of them in such close proximity to the house. Beautiful house with plenty of toys for my son to play with (he ignored all the toys we'd brought with us to entertain him!) Highly recommended, a real gem!

The cottage was situated in a rural area affording peace and quiet. Many of the sensational beaches were only 10 to 20 minutes away. They were unbelievably empty most of the time. Our favourite places we visited were Newton by the sea, Cragside (fabulous) and Bamborough Castle
