Situated in the heart of traditional, historic Seahouses, Puffin Cottage is located just a few steps from the bustling harbour in this truly picturesque seaside village. The main street is just a short stroll away where you can find a wide variety of shops, friendly pubs and restaurants.
If you want to explore the area, there is so much to see and do.  You can catch one of the many boat trips to the nearby Farne Islands to see local wildlife such as puffins and seals and you can take a drive along the beautiful coast road to explore Bamburgh village with its magnificent Castle, cross the causeway to Holy Island, spend time on the beautiful beach at Beadnell, followed by lunch in one of the great places to eat there, drive a little south to Craster and see the charming harbour and walk the coastal path to Dunstanburgh Castle remains, play golf with breath-taking views and take a beach walk at Low Newton followed by lunch and a drink in the excellent Ship Inn with its own microbrewery!

Puffin Cottage has been recently renovated, yet still retains some of its traditional features, such as a narrow corridor off the kitchen where barrels of herring were once rolled from the yard onto carts for transportation. The cottage is set over two floors with the open plan kitchen and dining area and a good size living room on the ground floor. The two bedrooms, one of which has a Super King size bed are located on the first floor, along with the family bathroom on a three quarter landing. The cosy lounge has a log burning stove set in an original stone fire place, the ideal place to relax and plan your holiday adventures. There are two very comfortable sofas, a flat screen TV with Freeview and a DVD player and Wi-Fi. The stove and electric radiators mean the cottage stays warm, whatever the weather.

Puffin Cottage was recently featured on 'Discover Britain's' website, take a look here: http://www.discoverbritainmag.com/britain/puffin_cottage_seahouses_northumberland_1_3963327

A great location to enjoy Seahouses and the surrounding area. Bamburgh Castle and Dunstanburgh Castle walk from Craster are a must. The beach at Beadnell for walking with the dog is fantastic. Although there is not a lot to ‘do’, this is this the appeal in the area. As a family of 5 (with three girls all approaching teenage years), we found lots to do and and see. It’s our first time to Northumberland and we we will be back and will be using your company again. I only had to call your company once regarding the keys in the door to a different property and the lady I spoke to was brilliant. Very friendly and personable.

Puffin Cottage was great - well equipped (best range of kitchen utensils, pans and crockery of any self-catering place we've stayed!) and cosy for our stay over New Year. We'll definitely be back!
