Panhaven is an immaculate, spacious, seaside-themed, tastefully furnished and welcoming first floor property which is set over two floors, with three bedrooms sleeping 4 guests (plus 1*), with allocated parking for one car and free guest Wi-Fi.

This dog friendly property is an ideal base for a family holiday in Northumberland, offers great views and is close to the beach, shops and the many excellent restaurants located in the friendly market town of Amble with easy access to the many famous local attractions of this stunning county.

This beautiful coastal town is located right at the mouth of the river Coquet, nestled between Druridge Bay to the North and Alnmouth Bay to the South with the lovely Warkworth village and its medieval Castle nearby. The small, sandy beach of Little Shore and the Amble Pier are only a few meters away and Coquet Island, famous for its thousands of seabirds and wildlife is visible from the master bedroom.

Please Note: Panhaven is the sister cottage to ‘Little Panhaven’ which sleeps 4 and both properties can be booked together for larger groups and families. Please ask us for more details  or please click on the Larger Groups tab above for more information.

Accommodation Summary:


Entrance: With stairs to the first floor accommodation and landing.

Lounge: With a large, comfortable sofa and occasional tables and lamps. For your entertainment, there is a flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD player, an i-pod docking station/CD player, Wi-Fi and books. The large feature window overlooks a village green with views towards the bay and Coquet island.

Kitchen/Dining Room: With all modern facilities, including a dishwasher, electric hob and oven, kettle, toaster and cafetiere etc.

Dining Area: Has a large, farmhouse style table with seating for 6

Utility Room:  With a fridge freezer, microwave/combi oven, washing machine,storage cupboards, iron and ironing board, clothes airer, high chair, etc.

Family Bathroom: With a shower over the bath, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Boot Room: With storage, hooks for coats etc. and stairs leading to two second floor bedrooms.


Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with double bed, bedside drawers, a chest of drawers, wardrobe and easy chair. There is a large, Velux window with great views across the green towards the amazing Coquet Island with its smart lighthouse. A must to visit!

Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with bedside drawers and lamps, a chest of drawers and wardrobe.

*Additional, first floor single bedroom: (* Plus 1) This third, single bedroom on the first floor has oak furniture, including a single bed, bedside drawers and lamp, a mirror and a wardrobe for storage. There is an additional charge of £25 per booking to have access to this extra bedroom. Please call the office on: 0191 231 3020 for more details and/or to add this bedroom to your booking.

Outside: From the kitchen there are stairs leading down to a yard where you can  sit and relax. There is also storage for your bikes.

Parking: There is parking for one car in front of the property. Any additional cars will be able to find parking spots nearby.

We are a family of 4 & the size was perfect. The location is a great base to explore from, easy access to the local beach for an early morning stroll or to walk from for miles along the lovely sandy beaches. There's a good local pub/eating house within a 5 min walk, pet friendly too. Amble is a 5 min walk too or you can walk further along to Warkworth with its pretty little tea shops, again all pet friendly and a beautiful long beach here too. The cottage is really well equipped, warm and cosy with lovely comfortable beds, I slept like a log which is really important to me! The kitchen has everything you need, and if you don't want to watch a DVD (plenty to choose from) there's loads of books and games to choose from too. A good open space to pop your coats and boots in too so the place doesn't feel cluttered, there's plenty of room to stretch out. Lovely views, it feels like home from home. we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic week. Lovely holiday home with everything we needed. Great bedrooms for the kids. Sunday carvery at The Wellwood in Amble was very tasty. Hopefully we will return.

Large well laid out and a nice touch fresh flowers in rooms, the only way to improve the cottage was to have sunshine 7 days a week - that will not happen but hey it's all part of holidaying in the UK. Nice cottage well situated great if you have a dog, big field outside cottage before you are on the beach. what's not to like !
