Myrtle House is a beautifully furnished holiday home, set in the heart of Amble. Recently renovated, this house offers a living/dining, separate kitchen leading onto a family shower-room.  Outside is a lovely private enclosed yard, with outdoor dining for 4 people.  Upstairs there are two bedrooms, a double and a single room which can be converted into a double bedroom (single pull-out bed underneath).  This house is an idyllic retreat for couples or small families.  The cosy living room is tastefully decorated and has a log burning stove taking centre stage.  The living space also doubles up as your dining space with a dining table to seat up to 4 people.   The compact kitchen has an electric cooker, small fridge and plenty of storage space for your own supplies too.   To the rear of the property is 2 allocated car parking spaces.
 
Amble is a waterfront town declaring itself as the ‘friendliest port’ and hugs the River Coquet estuary at the southern gateway to the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  
 
From Amble’s port, you can take a boat trip to Coquet Island and see the colourful 36,000 bird colony nesting on it.  This colony is an RSPB seabird sanctuary just a mile off the coast.  It inspired Amble to host the UK’s only puffin festival, which now happens annually from the end of May.
 
If you are looking to dine out within Amble, there are plenty of places to go.  As you would expect from a fishing town, you can enjoy some of the tastiest fish from the local Fish and Chip Shop, or you can visit Zecca an Italian Restaurant that serve ‘traditional Italian food with a modern twist’ with an emphasis on using locally caught seafood.  For a real treat, visit the Old Boat House, which is a rustic bistro with stunning harbour views.  There are many other types of cuisine with the village including various pubs restaurants and cafes.  If you fancy an ice cream, pop into Spurreli Boutique Ice Cream Parlour where you will be spoilt for choice from their various flavours of locally made ice creams.
 
Just a mile outside of Amble, is the beautiful village of Warkworth, home of the magnificent Warkworth Castle.  Wander around the villages artisan shops and enjoy a cone of homemade ice cream from the nearby Morwick Dairy.

Entrance: - The house has one step up at the entrance into the lobby, leading into the living/ dining room and stairs to the first floor.
 
Lounge/Dining area: With beautiful wood floors, a log burning stove takes centre stage in the room.  One of the alcoves houses an original feature of a cupboard with shelving above, with books and useful items for you to use. There is also a sofa, chair and dining table to seat four people.
 
Kitchen: - The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker with an oven and hob, and a small under counter fridge.  There is plenty of crockery and storage space for your own supplies too.
 
Outside Yard: From the kitchen, you can access the private enclosed yard, a real sun trap on those beautiful sunny days.  There is an outside dining table and chairs.  
 
Shower Room: Through the kitchen is the downstairs shower room, with a modern walk in shower, toilet and basin.  This is the only bathroom in the property.
 
Upstairs:
 
Double Bedroom:  There is a large double bedroom to the front of the property, with a double bed and built in wardrobes.
 
Second Bedroom:  With a single bed; single bed with sliding separate single bed beneath which can be made into a double, small built in wardrobe and useful shelving for additional storage.
 
Car Parking:  
There is a private parking for two cars to the rear of the property.

Situated in the heart of Amble, on the A1068 which is the main road from Amble to Warkworth.  The cottage is a short walk to the beach.    Just ten miles to Alnwick and twenty miles to Seahouses.
