Fantastic winter break in Northumberland staying at Malcolm Miller House. The property is recently renovated two storey house with two large bedrooms and good modern decor & facilities. It is a terraces property which opens directly onto a path down the side of the block. Access from the steep car park is via this path and there are a few steps to negotiate. Many great walks are easily accessible directly from this property without using the car. We visited Berwick-upon-Tweed, Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Craster, Warkworth, Alnwick and Amble. All these places were easy to drive to and are highly recommended for days out. Fabulous Sunday roast at The Sun Inn, Alnmouth. Puffin Stores at Alnmouth very useful - stocks almost everything! Would highly recommend Lord Crewe Arms at Bamburgh for great food in a dog friendly pub. Also Bertrams, Warkworth and Barter Books, Alnwick.

Malcolm Miller House in Alnmouth was an absolute gem. It had everything (and more) that we needed and was spotlessly clean with extras including scones, milk, tea, coffee and cleaning things..... the beaches at Alnmouth are amazing, Scotts deli was great for coffee and lunch and fish and chips from the hope and anchor was good too. We can recommend sea fishing and the boat trips to the Farne Islands (both from Seahouses) we even took the dog on the boat trip, she loved it. It's our 4th visit to Northumberland and we WILL be back.
