Fantastic location right at the harbour front in popular Seahouses, Kipper Cottage is just a few moments’ walk from the picturesque harbour, you can step outside and enjoy breath-taking views within seconds from here and the beaches and village amenities are a mere stroll away.  If convenience is a key factor for your break, Kipper Cottage won’t let you down. There is a range of good, local shops, pubs, restauarnts and cafes in the village meaning you can breathe in the sea air while you grab any necessities for your stay.
 
Staying at this property means you are within easy reach of the boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the puffins and seals at various times of the year, you can walk along the beach or coastal path to beautiful Bamburgh village, visit the magnificent castle that looms large over the coastline and explore the village restaurants, independent shops, the Grace Darling Museum and golden stretches of beach. Visit the Holy Island of Lindisfarne for some mead tasting and the historic priory and castle, walk the crescent shaped beach and Bay at nearby Beadnell with its two great pub restaurants and renowned Salt water cafe (patisserie by day and Bistro by night!).
 
Kipper Cottage has full central heating (solar powered) and is equipped with Wi-Fi and a lovely new wood burning stove for cosy night in at all times of the year. Whether you decide to relax indoors or use Kipper Cottage as your base for exploring our stunning heritage coastline, this is ideal accommodation for either a short break or a longer seaside holiday. 
 
Thanks to its central location and beautiful backdrop, Kipper Cottage is one of Northumberland’s ideal holiday hotspots. 

Please note: Kipper Cottage is opposite the Schooner Inn, a friendly local pub which welcomes holidaymakers and their dogs and hosts live music at weekends.
 
This cottage accepts one well behaved dog. Please see our terms and conditions (point19) for more details and point17 for house rules regarding dogs.

 Accommodation:

Downstairs

Lounge/Dining Area: Open fire, two comfortable leather sofas, wool rug, TV, DVD, Freeview digibox, Wi-Fi, an 'i-pod' docking station, folding dining table with seating for four

Kitchen: Black granite work bench, fully equipped kitchen with washer / dryer, oven, hob, microwave, fridge and dishwaher. All crockery and cutlery is provided. Iron and ironing board also provided. Separate storage area for high chair and travel cot.

Upstairs

Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with pine furniture.

Bedroom 2: Double bedroom. Tall unit for storage.

Bathroom: Electric shower over bath, wash basin, WC.

Outside: There is a permit provided for parking a car in Seahouses main car park and this can be used in any of the Northumberland County car parks too. NB Please note: Some free short stay car parks require a parking disc. This will be left for you in the cottage.

Good stay, cottage lovely! Visited Homesteads Fort and Hadrian's Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Lindisfarne. Took a boat trip round The Farnes and saw lots of seal pups and had a great walk around Budle Point. Will definitely be back!
