Highgarth Cottage is a spacious, semi-detached three bedroom cottage situated just two minutes walk from the picturesque harbour in Seahouses. The property has gardens to front and back and patio area. Highgarth has a relaxing atmosphere  with everything you could need to make your holiday comfortable and enjoyable.  There are two lounge areas and plenty of room to spread out and enjoy your well earned holiday at the seaside.

Seahouses is a beautiful seaside village in Northumberland. The village has lots of places to eat, whether in a restaurant, cafe or takeaway. There are a few pubs within walking distance from the cottage, and you will find a co-op supermarket for your extra supplies. Seahouses has a lovely golden beach as well as a harbour, where you can take a boat trip accross to the Farne Islands which is a famous sea bird sanctuary with a colony of Grey Seals.

Just outside of Seahouses, along the coast is the lovely village of Bamburgh. With their castle taking centre stage, it is a must see visit when you are in the area.

If your visiting Seahouses with the kids, the bunker, based along the seafront in Seahouses has a great outdoor crazy golf course for you and your family to enjoy. For kids, there is a large indoor play facility to keep them entertained. The soft play area features physical adventure equipment perfect for toddlers and children up to the age of 12. Great place to visit if it rains!

Accommodation Summary:


Lounge: Comprising a three seat and a two seat sofa, coffee table, complete with digital TV and a 'NOWTV' box so guests can view on-demand services via internet (BBC iPlayer, 4OD, ITV player, etc).
Second Lounge/Dining Room: Oak table and chairs seating six in a bright extension with windows on three sides. Four seat sofa, coffee table and comfortable chair. A DVD/CD player & hard drive is on the TV in the dining room. The hard drive contains c.70 movies, and thousands of mp3 music files which can all be watched / listened to via the TV and speakers.
Kitchen: Well equipped kitchen including cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, with separate freezer in pantry containing additional storage space.


Bedroom 1: A bright room with King sized bed, built in wardrobes, dressing table, and bed side cabinets.
Bedroom 2: Two single beds with built in wardrobes, dressing table, and a bed side cabinet.
Bedroom 3: Two single beds with wardrobe.
Bathrooms: Separate bathroom and W.C. Bathroom with bath and electric shower over, wash basin and heated towel rail.

Rear: Glazed porch which is ideal for walking boots, coats and coming in from the beach. This leads out into the enclosed garden.
The cottage has night storage heaters.
Parking: There is parking for one car at the side gate of the cottage.

We had a lovely weekend. A cosy cottage which is very comfortable. Maggie checked to see that we had everything we needed which was very thoughtful. We love Seahouses and we will be back soon.

We have had a lovely few days away. Embleton Beach, the Ship Inn at Low Newton and the Saltwater cafe in Beadnell were a few of our favourite places
