Harbourside House boasts a 4 star rating with a Gold Award from Visit England. It is immaculately presented and has a really homely feel with lots of lovely finishing touches. Set in the heart of the small fishing village of Craster in Northumberland and close to the village store, pub/seafood restaurant and coffee shop, Harbourside House has stunning views overlooking the picturesque fishing harbour. This holiday cottage with Wi-Fi, a garden with sea views and private parking provides an ideal base for a family or friends from which to explore the beautiful Northumberland Coastline with views of the magnificent Dunstanburgh Castle from the beach.

 Accommodation Summary:


Lounge With two leather sofas, anest of tables, reading lamps, flat screen TV, DVD/Video player, selection of DVD and games, Wi-Fi, coal effect fire, sea views.

Dining Room: round wooden table with seating for 5, patio doors opening out onto patio garden.

Kitchen: electric oven/hob with extractor hood, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, fridge/freezer and microwave.


Master Bedroom: king size bed with bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe, flat screen TV and sea views.

Bedroom 2: zip and link king size bed which can also be used as a twin bedroom with bedside tables and lamps, wardrobe and views of the countryside and Dunstanburgh Castle. Please let us know at the time of booking if you want the bed as a King size or separated into twin beds.

Bedroom 3: single bed, bedside table and lamp and sea views.

Bathroom: shower over bath, wash hand basin, WC and towel rail.

Heating: oil filled central heating.

Outdoors: At the front of the house there is a small grassed garden with a decorative flower border with garden bench and sea views. At the rear, there is a south facing landscaped patio garden with garden furniture and attractive walled border with plants and shrubs.

Parking: for three cars; one of the drive and two in front of the house.

Once through the door of this lovely place you immediately feel like you are at home. The views from living area and bedroom at front offer a variety of images like a moving postcard,from beautiful red, orange and yellow sunrises, calm waters, birds and the beach by the harbour boats, to wild crashing waves and rocks and darkness and stillness of the night. Wildlife lovers, walkers, runners, bikers and relaxers will love this place. If you visit at Christmas there's even a bottle of Champagne, Belgian chocolates and a fully decorated lit up sparkly Christmas tree on arrival. In a word "magical"

Harbourside Cottage has outstanding sea views over Craster harbour with wonderful coastal walks to Dunstanburgh castle, lower newton, sea houses and surrounding areas. Pubs and restaurants happy to accept well behaved dogs. All beaches clean and beautiful, look out for dolphins in Craster and Spittle near Berwick.

Harbourside House was warm comfortable and well equipped. The location was excellent and convenient for Dunstanburgh castle. There is a very nice seafood restaurant and pub in the village.
