This delightful, double-fronted cottage boasts beautiful sea views from the front of the building, and is situated right on the harbour of the popular seaside village of Craster.
 
Sleeping up to 9 guests in 5 generously-sized bedrooms with 3 bath/shower rooms, Harbour House is a spacious, welcoming accommodation option for your stay in Northumberland. If relaxation is top of your agenda, the cottage benefits from a cosy open fire, Wi-Fi and a beautiful enclosed garden which overlooks the harbour. With off-road parking for up to 2 vehicles, you can bring the whole family along for the ride!
 
If you’re in the mood for walking, step outside the door and head for the coastal path which will take you along to the 14th century Dunstanburgh Castle. Thanks to its prime location on the Northumberland Coast, you’ll never be short of stunning views.
 
Harbour House is a traditional accommodation option with plenty of vintage appeal. With a light and airy kitchen ideal for cooking up a storm, as well as a large living area perfect for family nights by the fire, you won’t have to leave the comfort of your cottage to enjoy a truly memorable stay on Northumberland’s coastline.

Accommodation Summary

Downstairs

Large lounge: with views of the harbour. Seating for 9 with two large sofas plus armchairs, coffee table, occasional tables and bookshelves. There is a large, open fire set within a feature stone fireplace, (an initial starter pack of logs is included) A flat screen TV with Free-Sat, DVD player, i-pod docking station and Wi-Fi. There is also a telephone for incoming calls.

Dining room: with an extra large dining table and seating for 9, small sofa and coffee table, TV and those great views of the harbour!

Kitchen: fully equipped with everything you will need, including dishwasher, washer/dryer, fridge freezer, electric double oven and hob, microwave, pressure cooker, two kettles, toaster and toasted sandwich maker, juicer and cafetiere.

Downstairs Shower Room: with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin.

Porch with seating and hooks for wetsuits, coats etc.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1: Master bedroom with king size bed and great views from the two windows overlooking the harbour, bedside tables and lamps, small dressing table, wardrobe, chest of drawers, hair dryer and wash basin.

Bedroom 2: King size bed (two single beds made up as a king size) and individual duvets, bedside cupboards and lamps, hair dryer, wardrobe, arm chair and wash basin. Views across the harbour.

Bedroom 3: Twin bedroom with 2 single beds overlooking neighbouring rear garden with lamp, wash basin and easy chair. Chest of drawers and hooks on back of door provide storage.

Bedroom 4: Twin bedroom to the rear with 2 single beds, bedside table and lamp. Shelving and a small area for hanging clothes.

Bedroom 5: Single bed with bedside table and lamp, chest of drawers and small area for hanging clothes, window overlooking rear.(NB wardrobe not for guest use).

Family bathroom 1: With mains shower over bath, wash basin with mirror over and electric shaving point, towel rail and WC.

Family bathroom 2: With walk in shower cubicle and separate bath with special grab rail, wash basin with mirror over, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside:
Lovely enclosed garden area to the front of the property across the lane with seating and bench style table for enjoying a glass of wine while enjoying the lovely views.  There is also a charcoal BBQ available.

Parking: there is space at the side of the house for a maximum of 2 sensibly parked cars. Additional parking is available in the main village car park where you can purchase a weekly pass.

Heating: Oil fired central heating throughout - making this a warm and cosy cottage all year round.

Bed linen, towels, heating and hot water are all included in the price.

There is a geat pub/restaurant with fantastic sea views, as well as another good sea food restaurant within easy walking distance in the village, as well as a cafe/bistro/general store selling all the basics plus some wonderful seaside momentos and postcards! In addition, you will find the world famous Craster Kipper company featured on Robson Green's television documentary series 'Tales from Northumberland' and a lovely art gallery with some interesting pieces by renowned, local artists.

National Trust/English Heritage Dunstanburgh Castle - and the lovely walk to it, is easily reached from the end of the road, 100 meters from the front door of Harbour House.

Beaches - There is a small beach in the harbour when the tide is out and when the tide is in, it makes a wonderful swimming pool! Nearby beaches - Embleton Beach is 3 miles north and Howick Beach is 2 miles to the south.

Peace and Quiet: The village is a 'no-through-road' for the public after 6pm and before 11am making Craster a very quiet and peaceful place to be when the harbour becomes almost private.

Golf: Dunstanburgh Golf Club is located in nearby Embleton and there is a lovely golf course in at Alnmouth with spectacular sea views, as well as a course in Alnwick - 6 miles.

This was our third visit to the house - the location is superb, looking straight out over Craster Harbour; it is very comfortable and well-furnished, but not so smart you feel scared to breathe; the kitchen is well-equipped.; it is big enough to house us as a group of friends. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

Beautiful setting. Spacious, 3 bathrooms, very comfortable. Very clean and we were very happy with the cottage facilities, it had everything we needed. We loved being on the beaches and in the rock pools and Alnwick castle is a must!
