: Ford Cottage is a beautiful cottage to stay in and based in a beautiful area. The owners clearly take pride in their property and the thought that has gone into preparing it is immediately apparent. We visited at Christmas time and the owners put much effort into ensuring we had a magical Christmas. There is heaps to do right on the doorstep, and if you are prepared to travel there is something to see in every direction. Close to Durham, Newcastle and Sunderland, and only a quick drive north and you are in Northumberland. Equally for those tho like peace and quiet there are peaceful walks with stunning views to be found everywhere. The Co Durham coast is beautiful and less than an hour away. I highly recommend this area, and the cottage. Additionally, for well-behaved dog owners, a cottage of this standard is a rare treat. I cannot wait to get back again. Ford Cottage was perfect, and the customer service received through your company was good.

Thank you for the use of your very comfortable cottage. The scones etc were very 'welcome' particularly the milk to make a cuppa after a long journey. We had a lovely family meal at the Jolly Drovers. We hope to come back again in the Summer.
