Brucap is in a great location, first impression suggests a small property however it is very spacious.

Brucap cottage is very comfy and we really enjoyed it. Bamburgh beach is wonderful for sandcastles. We enjoyed Chillingham Castle, but be aware that if you want to see the Wild Cattle you have to traipse across muddy fields with your eyes down to avoid stepping in the poo which is everywhere. You won't have any problems if you just go to the castle which is great. Alnwick Castle and gardens, and Bamburgh Castle definitely worth visiting but pricey. Lovely meal at The Olde Ship Inn in Seahouses, staff really friendly and big portions. Amble is lovely, definitely worth visiting. We don't ever go back to the same place twice because we always like to go to new places where we haven't been before. But we would recommend this cottage to anyone.

Although Brucap is lovely, we prefer a more coastal location, however the beach wasn't far away & was as beautiful as Sugar Sands bay in Longhoughton. We loved all of the castles & walks around the area & Alnwick Gardens now have mini golf which is great for grandchildren.
