Apartment 891 is situated in the popular leafy suburbs of Jesmond, just north of Newcastle City Centre.  The two bedroom apartment is well equipped with a double bedroom, en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and living area.  The kitchenette houses a dishwasher, fridge and microwave as well as a selection of crockery, cutlery, toaster and kettle – everything you need for a short break in Newcastle.  There is also a desk with lamp and the bathroom has a bathtub with shower overhead.  The Sofa within the living area doubles up as a sofa bed, so this apartment can cater for up to 5 guests.  
 
Just five minutes from the apartment is the beautiful valley of Jesmond Dene which is a place of relaxation and repose. It has great wildlife with a beautiful selection of trees. It follows the Ouseburn river between Jesmond Vale and South Gosforth and is home to notable wildlife celebrities such as the Red Squirrel and the Kingfisher. You’ll find some fascinating bridges and paths so your nature trail is never boring.
 
If you love art, the Laing Art Gallery is a great place to visit.  This beautiful art gallery was founded at the beginning of the 20th century, although Laing didn’t donate any paintings himself to the gallery, there was plenty of donations from other quarters. Today’s work is from all over the world with a wide selection of glassware, silver, ceramics, oil paintings and watercolours. There are exhibitions here on art from every era with talks from both curators and artists. There’s also plenty of activities for children, so everyone’s entertained.
You’ll also find lots of famous paintings from the 18th and 19th century such as Gauguin, Burne-Jones and William Holman-Hunt
 
The Victoria Tunnel is one of the top attractions in Newcastle with a commitment to the city’s heritage. There’s a great archive here featuring photographs and a recorded oral history too with projects you can explore. The history of 2 centuries of change are recorded here from the agricultural era to the industrial one that followed. You can also go on walks and listen to fascinating talks on the tunnel so take your family for a fascinating insight into Newcastle’s history.

Lounge/Kitchenette: There is a sofabed, small dining table, desk and lamp.  The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and there is plenty of crockery and storage space for your own supplies too.
