3, The Steading is a beautiful, listed Grade 2 barn conversion, offering an excellent standard of self-catering accommodation for families or a small group of friends and the location means you are close to the beautiful Northumberland Coastline, with its many iconic castles, fishing villages and popular attractions and only 1.8 miles from the historic market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed, England's most northerly town. Berwick-upon-Tweed has an excellent range of shops, restaurants and pubs, not to mention 4 golden beaches, delightful river walks and plenty of fun things to do and see for all the family.

Catch a train from Berwick to Edinburgh for the day (average journey time is only 34 minutes). 

Nearby, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and Bamburgh Castle, beach and popular village are all within 30 minutes’ drive of the cottage and the coastal villages of Seahouses, Beadnell and Craster all lie to the south of Bamburgh. If you would like to explore a little further inland, the market town of Wooler with its lovely high street is located at the foothills of the Cheviot Hills and is also the Gateway to Glendale valley and the internationally awarded, 'Dark Skies' Northumberland National Park. Close to the cottage and within easy walking distance, is a lovely local pub serving delicious fresh food and real ales.

3, The Steading offers clean and comfortable, modern self catering accommodation for 4 +1 guests (an additional guest can be accommodated on a fold-up bed in the dining room). Downstairs, there is a spacious lounge with attractive, arched windows which offer beautiful views across open countryside. There is a well-equipped, modern kitchen with a breakfast table. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms, one super-king bedroom and a second twin bedroom. Both bedrooms offer scenic countryside views. The family bathroom is also located upstairs and has a shower over the bath.

Bed linen, towels, heating and hot water is included with the price.

 3, The Steading, in East Allerdean is located in a lovely, calm, unspoilt, rural setting about 5 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed with a pub within half a mile.

3 The Steading had good quality furnishings and decor. The cottage has everything we needed, including a night light in the upstairs corridor which helped the children a lot.

We enjoyed the cottage and the relaxing quiet area around it. It was a lovely, clean cottage and of a good size, cosy and warm when needed on the cool nights. We found it a great base to explore many lovely places in both Northumberland and Scotland. Beautiful coastlines to visit and eating out was enjoyable. The pub at the end of the lane, within walking distance,was closed for refurbishing at the time of our visit. We were told this will be up and running soon with a children's play area. This will be a additional treat after a nice stroll on an evening to tire any excitable children. Thanks for sharing your cottage.

Lovely warm and welcoming property. Enjoyed the view from upstairs. We were lucky with the weather which was a bonus. The Plough Inn is a must for a delicious meal in walking distance.
