Beautiful barn conversion in Bamburgh.

The Granary has been lovingly refurbished and sleeps up to 8 guests in 4 good size bedrooms with 3 bath/shower rooms.  This superb farmhouse style cottage is full of light, space and exposed beams. With it's extensive gardens enclosed by stone walls makes The Granary ideal for a large family or group of friends looking for plenty of space, fresh air and beautiful surroundings to come back to after exploring the beaches, seaside villages and countryside of stunning Northumberland. Suitable for guests with restricted mobility as there is a ground floor bedroom and shower room.*

You have private parking for 2 or 3 cars, free Wi-Fi, BT TV and a warming, wood burning stove in the spacious lounge. The popular and historic village and Castle of Bamburgh is a short drive away and can be reached on foot via a rural, public footpath.**

Bamburgh village is a beautiful coastal town in the heart of Northumberland.  The famous Bamburgh Castle sits up high and is a truly magnificent sight, overlooking the long sandy beach, which is perfect for long walks with your family and friends.  Within the town are several shops, restaurants and cafes making it a perfect place to explore.  Make sure you stop by R Carters Butchers, who have been serving the village for over 125 years with their locally sourced quality meat and why not try their award winning bacon that is smoked on their premises?  Another favorite shop is Blacketts, which offers a treasure of locally sourced gifts that should give you inspiration if you are looking for something different.

A little further along the coast is the popular seaside villages of Seahouses and Beadnell, so you are never too far away from the beach.  From Seahouses, you can take a short boat trip to the Farne Islands, a sea bird sanctuary in the British Isles with a colony of Atlantic and Grey Seals.

Accommodation 

Hallway: Large, open area with credenza and mirror with various rooms leading off on the ground floor.

Kitchen/Dining room: On your right from the Hallway and *up one step is an impressively large kitchen and dining area. With large dining table and seating for 8. There is a breakfast bar with 2 bar stools, an electric oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, toaster, kettle and cafetiere, i-pod docking station and speaker.

Lounge: At the other end of the hall is the light and spacious lounge with a feature stone wall and large, arching windows plus French doors. There are three large, comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove (N.B. an initial supply of logs is supplied – you will need to purchase additional fuel – coal and logs -locally), coffee table and matching occasional table with drawers, a 32 inch flat screen BT TV and Freeview, DVD player, free guest Wi-Fi, large bookcase filled with books, games and DVD films, including some popular box sets.

Bedroom 1: Twin bedded room with bedside table and lamp plus wardrobe.

Downstairs shower room: with walk in shower, WC and wash basin.

Upstairs

Bedroom 2: King size bed with bedside cabinets and lamps, a large chest of drawers with a DVD player, hair dryer, a double wardrobe, large, wall hung mirror and rocking chair.
Bedroom 3: King size bed with bedside cabinets, a chest of drawers, large mirror, double wardrobe and an easy chair. The small, en-suite shower room off this bedroom has a WC and wash basin.  

Bedroom 4: Double bed and additional single bed with chest of drawers, lamp and double wardrobe.

Family Bathroom: With bath and shower over, WC and hand wash basin.

Bed linen, towels heating and hot water are included.

This cottage accepts one small well behaved dog.
 

Outside: there is a large, lawned garden ideal for running about and a family game of football, rounders, cricket etc.  

Parking: There is ample off-road parking at the Granary for at 2 or 3 cars.

*There is a rural, public footpath to Bamburgh village starting from behind the hall. Please note this is NOT suitable for a pushchair.

A well equipped and comfortable cottage sleeping up to 8 people in a great location for exploring the Bamburgh area. Accommodation is large enough to enable all of the party to relax in their own space, but with the communal areas being big enough to allow shared activities.

The Granary is an excellent family house. Great facilities and space. Quiet location. Close to beaches, coastal walking and loads of castles and gardens to visit.
