Could not fault it. Owners were welcoming but not intrusive. The Barn had everything that a family of 5 needed for the week. The log fire was lovely, backed up by a good central heating system. Lovely quiet location in easy reaching distance of Newcastle and Sunderland. Kitchen and utility really well equipped. We would definitely stay again.

The cottage is situated in a great location for exploring the area. Set in its own grounds the cottage is peaceful and a great place to relax. We were greeted to a warm welcome from the owners who were on hand if needed but very unobtrusive. We made the most of their offer of 25% off vouchers to Beamish which saved us a fortune! The cottage was spotless and contained everything needed for a home from home break. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return again. Lovely grounds, comfortable accommodation very helpful owners.
