Bamburgh village is a beautiful coastal town in the heart of Northumberland.  The famous Bamburgh Castle sits up high and is a truly magnificent sight, overlooking the long sandy beach, which is perfect for long walks with your family and friends.  Within the town are several shops, restaurants and cafes making it a perfect place to explore.

A little further along the coast is the popular seaside villages of Seahouses and Beadnell, so you are never too far away from the beach.  From Seahouses, you can take a short boat trip to the Farne Islands, a sea bird sanctuary in the British Isles with a colony of Atlantic and Grey Seals.

Lovely cottage, bright and comfortable, equipped to a high standard, in a great location just by the castle, maybe 2 minutes walk from the beach. There is a children's play area just outside. The cottage and Bamburgh were a perfect base for a family holiday: good places to eat in Bamburgh itself and a wonderful beach, but also close for boat trips to the Farne Islands and the drive to Holy Island.
