Looking for holiday cottages in Bamburgh area? Jock’s Haven is a beautifully renovated, decorated and well-furnished holiday cottage for up to 6 guests in 3 lovely bedrooms with a sunny and spacious, enclosed rear garden and 2 bath/shower rooms. Located in the pretty village of Belford with excellent local amenities including a couple of pub/restaurants, a great local shop, plus a farm shop, deli and ice cream parlour plus the golf course. You are 10 minutes from the golden, sandy beach and iconic Bamburgh Castle. The beautiful, vibrant village of Bamburgh lies right on the stunning Northumberland coast.

Alnwick Castle and its market town, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Scottish borders are all just minutes away and a short drive will take you south, along the coastal path areas through Seahouses for boat trips to The Farne Islands, Beadnell Bay for water sports and sunbathing, Embleton village, Low Newton for the famous Ship Inn pub on the beach, pretty Craster harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle and beyond.

Golfers, Walkers and Cyclists will also love this area as there are so many places to play, walk and cycle. Wooler, the Northumberland National park and the Cheviot Hills are less than 20 minutes drive.

Lovely stay during Christmas 2023. Welcome pack on arrival was a lovely touch. Would recommend to family and friends. Great location, lovely village with all amenities you need and within 10 mins drive to Bamburgh.

Lovely place to stay had everything you could want. Village has farm shop, pubs, takeaway etc in walking distance. Very short drive to fantastic beaches for long dog walks. House very clean and well equipped and welcome basket was a nice unexpected touch. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely cottage, clean and spacious. Everything we needed for our stay! Great location for exploring all the local landmarks/ villages by car. We were a little disappointed with Belford itself, had been led to believe there was more to do therecute little playground and Sunnyhills farm shop was lovely, but didnt find the pubs appealing at all. The property was perfect. It was immaculately cleaned and the welcome pack was a lovely surprise. It was perfect for our dogs who loved roaming around the very secure garden. Great location to explore the surrounding area. The house was really well equipped & had everything you needed. Easy to park on the road outside the property & no issues with road noise, even though you are on the road. Very secure outside space for our dog.

Absolutely lovely. We loved our stay. The owners contacted us before hand and told us what was happening in the village. Its a fab cottage, clean, modern and close for walking and exploring - 15 mins from Bamburgh. We had a welcome basket of tea, coffee, sweets and cava. Also milk and bread. A great experience.

Jocks Haven had everything needed for a successful holiday. There was no problem parking. The beds were comfortable and towels of good quality. It was a nice touch to leave a welcome pack, after a long journey a cup of tea was very appreciated (the wine didn't last long either). The cottage was warm and clean. Very comfortable cottage in a quiet location. Belford is a lovely little town in a great location for visiting various locations on the coast and also the Cheviots. Well equipped and spacious property in close proximity to the grocery store, fish and chip shop, pub and hotels.

This holiday cottage isn't suitable for young families. There was no kids crockery, and nowhere to store their games etc downstairs. In the photos when we booked there was a swing set in the garden but this had been removed, along with all the usual books and old games left in holiday properties. Very clean, spacious property which was an easy to live in holiday home. The village provided all your needs, both in food provision (pubs, cafe, farm shop, Co-op) and location (quick access to coast on one side and national park the other). We found it a great base for our holiday and had a super time. Appreciated the comfortable beds too.

I could not recommend it enough. The cottage was exactly as advertised and was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The secure garden was a great asset and my Labrador Bailey enjoyed being able to wander in and out at will. Absolutely wonderful ! Lovely place to stay and the beautiful Homemade cake to welcome us on arrival was delicious. Exceptionally clean and comfortable and the little garden at the back is a real sun trap! Would highly recommend.
