Looking for holiday cottages in Bamburgh area? Jock's Haven is a beautifully renovated, decorated and well-furnished holiday cottage for up to 6 guests in 3 lovely bedrooms with a sunny and spacious, enclosed rear garden and 2 bath/shower rooms. Located in the pretty village of Belford with excellent local amenities including a couple of pub/restaurants, a great local shop, plus a farm shop, deli and ice cream parlour plus the golf course. You are 10 minutes from the golden, sandy beach and iconic Bamburgh Castle. The beautiful, vibrant village of Bamburgh lies right on the stunning Northumberland coast.

Alnwick Castle and it's market town, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Scottish borders are all just minutes away and a short drive will take you south, along the coastal path areas through Seahouses for boat trips to The Farne Islands, Beadnell Bay for water sports and sunbathing, Embleton village, Low Newton for the famous Ship Inn pub on the beach, pretty Craster harbour, Dunstanburgh Castle and beyond. 

Golfers, Walkers and Cyclists will also love this area as there are so many places to play, walk and cycle. Wooler, the Northumberland National park and the Cheviot Hills are less than 20 minutes' drive.

Jock's Haven makes for a wonderfully welcoming and comfortable base for a family, or a small group of friends looking to explore the many, world famous local attractions, sights and sounds of the Northumbrian coast and countryside.

Accommodation Summary:

Entrance to the cottage is up several steps.

Lounge - Comfortable 'L' shaped sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV with Freeview, feature fireplace with a warming electric, wood burning stove-style heater and mirror over. Double doors lead into the dining room. These doors can be left open for an 'open-plan' feel.

Dining Room - Light and airy with large table and seating for 6 guests.

Kitchen - Fully equipped, modern kitchen with a great range of facilities including a centre island with workspace, a sink and dishwasher, plus storage beneath. There is an electric oven and hob, microwave, 4-slice toaster, kettle and expresso coffee maker, plus an i-pod docking station for your music. French windows open out into the lovely, enclosed,garden.

Utility Room - Spacious room with washing machine, double cupboard, ironing board, vacuum cleaner etc. The glazed back door leads from here into the rear garden. You could store a couple of bicycles in here too.

Shower Room - With corner shower cubicle and double-headed shower, wash basin with mirror over and WC.

Upstairs:

Bedroom 1 - Master Bedroom with double bed, bedside cabinets (drawer and cupboard) and lamps, a chest of drawers and double wardrobe.

Bedroom 2 - Double bed with bedside drawers and lamps, a chest of drawers and small double wardrobe.

Bedroom 3 - Spacious twin room with 2 single beds, a set of bedside drawers and a lamp, a chest of drawers and small double wardrobe.

Family Bathroom - With bath, wash basin with mirror over, heated towel rail, small storage shelves and WC.

Outside: There is a good size, enclosed, hard-landscaped (pebbles) garden to the rear with a garden table, a parasol and seating for 6 - perfect for meals outside in the evenings. There is also a small children’s swing.

Parking: is directly in front of the cottage for one car. There is also free parking for additional cars along the street and in the village.

Village Amenities: All the village amenities are within easy walking distance from the cottage. There is an excellent 'Co-Op' which sells just about everything, a chemist, a fish and chip shop and even a launderette! There is a golf course open to visitors and the Sunnyhills Farm shop at the edge of the village is open 7 days a week and also offers a delicatessen, an ice cream parlour, a children's play area and a bistro serving breakfast and lunch daily and evening meals on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6pm-9pm.

This cottage accepts up to two small-medium well behaved dogs.

Jocks Haven is a very clean and well equipped cottage. The welcome hamper was a lovely added touch! The Black Swan in the local village serves excellent food and the service was unbeatable! Sunnyhills farm shop and The Apple Inn were also very nice. Ideal location for exploring the area!

Jocks Haven is a lovely well decorated cottage with much thought gone into the comfort. Not too far from beaches and castles, Belford has good amenities with pubs, cafes and the Co Op.
