This superb luxury, family friendly holiday cottage for up to 8 guests is located in the exclusive hamlet of Shoreston, nestled nicely between the beautiful village of Bamburgh and the popular seaside village of Seahouses. Bamburgh’s magnificent castle, golden, sandy beaches and great range of independent shops, restaurants and cosy village pubs - combined with boat trips from Seahouses to the Farne Islands - make this one of our most ideally situated Bamburgh cottages by far.

Clashope Cottage was originally a farm dwelling (built around 1780) and now, thanks to its more recent and modern additions, this stunning property has been renovated with love - giving you and your family an opportunity to enjoy a truly relaxing holiday in memorable surroundings. In this self-catering Bamburgh cottage, there are 4 beautifully furnished bedrooms - with sea views of the stunning Northumberland Coast from the first-floor master bedroom. 2 of the bedrooms are on the ground floor, along with the family bathroom - making the property ideal for anyone with restricted mobility - and a fourth bedroom can be found at the top of its very own staircase. In addition, there is a Children's Playroom on the ground floor filled with toys, games and books. If you’re looking for coastal cottages with convenient access to the region’s incredible seaside views, Clashope Cottage could be your perfect match.

There’s plenty of cottage character to be found in the spacious and comfortable lounge, with a gas 'wood-burner' style stove, an impressive, stone feature wall and high, vaulted ceilings. For additional relaxation and space, Clashope Cottage boasts a fully furnished conservatory - with lovely views of the garden and beyond.

A starter pack of kindling, logs, newspapers and firelighters is supplied at this cottage.

When it comes to Bamburgh holiday cottages with all the amenities of home, this property is just the ticket. The layout of the cottage offers plenty of space to spread out, with a traditional ‘heart of the house’ kitchen and dining area - complete with a large wood-burning stove, where everyone can gather to chat, eat, drink and relax. There are lots of thoughtful finishing touches everywhere to guarantee everyone has an unforgettable seaside holiday - meaning families, walkers, cyclists, dog lovers and friends will all love staying in Clashope Cottage.

On top of all that, you’ll also find off-road parking for 2 and access to the garage for a third car, if required.

Clashope Cottage welcomes up to 2 well-behaved dogs at no extra charge*. Please call us on 0191 231 3020 to have the automatic online dog charge waived, also see our terms and conditions (point19) for more details and point 17 for house rules regarding dogs.

Good layout and presented very well. Ample facilities, everything you could want had been thought of. We've visited Northumbria at least once a year for the past 20 years and stayed in lots of different cottages, but the truly warm welcome you feel as soon as you enter Clashope really stands out. The location and style of the cottage could themselves be enough to make you want to return, but the facilities and extra touches made a real difference. We hope to be back again and had a wonderful holiday. Thank you.

Clashope Cottage - flawless! Wonderful, quiet location 5 mins drive to Seahouses and Bamburgh. Most bedrooms en-suite. Beautiful kitchen/diner and cosy living room. The owner and Cottages In Northumberland are extremely helpful. Parking for two cars on site. Loads to do in the area, you can't get bored especially if you like walking, spectacular beaches and cosy welcoming pubs and restaurants. Loved this property. We stayed over Christmas. A five minute drive to Seahouses or Bamburgh - a longer, beautiful walk over fields and across the road directly on to the beach. There is a wonderful view from every window at the back of the house. The kitchen has doors out on to the garden - we loved the nut house! A lovely log burning stove in the kitchen and a lovely long table for entertaining. Every appliance, cutlery and crockery provided. Bedrooms beautiful, warm and mainly all have en-suite. Master bedroom is stunning with a fabulous view. The owner had thought of everything in her welcome pack and the property was set up for Xmas with tree and the owners's beautiful handmade decorations on it. Emma is always on hand should you need anything. Great that the property is also pet friendly as it's the perfect location for your dog/s. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Very well equipped with careful thought given to minute details. Beautifully presented in terms of decor and everything in good working order. Outstanding level of information provided for use of appliances, local facilities, dining, tourist attractions. Overwhelming welcome pack left by the owner - Many Thanks for this much appreciated. Perfect getaway location, comfortable, relaxing within walking distance of Seahouses, Bamburgh and the beautiful beach which is hard to beat in any overseas location. A beautiful cottage, well decorated and laid out, attention to detail to be highly commended, pristine cleanliness, comfortable, very well equipped, we had a very pleasurable and relaxed stay. We visited Bamburgh Castle, and the village bought quality meat at Carter's Butchers and had lunch at the Copper Kettle, dined at the Potted Lobster, Spice House, walked along the beach to Seahouses and had fish and chips at Neptunes a popular local fish restaurant. The area means a lot to us as a family having lived there for many years, and is not to be underestimated for it's outstanding natural beauty and varied local attractions. We very much look forward to visiting again.
