Calling all Cyclists - this property is on the Castles South Cycle Route (National Cycle Network: Route 1) connecting Tynemouth with Edinburgh via miles and miles of unspoiled coastline, some of Britain’s best man-made and natural heritage. An experience not to be missed!

Superb beach front property for up to 6 people with beautiful sea views and excellent facilities. Beachcombers Retreat offers luxury self-catering holiday accommodation and is ideal for families, friends and couples looking for a seaside holiday with a difference!

There are 3 bedrooms, plus an optional 4th bedroom available for an additional charge - please see below. Downstairs, there are 2 bedrooms, a shower room and the modern kitchen and dining areas downstairs and the spacious lounge offering panoramic views plus an additional double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom are upstairs. The 4th bedroom is accessed via the balcony and has a double bed, lovely sea views and a luxury ensuite bath/power shower room. This is a great option for anyone looking for additional space and privacy and there is an additional charge to book this room. Please note however, that the house is still only available for a maximum of 6 guests.

Beachcombers Retreat has SKY TV (including movies and sports), a secure shed for cycles and diving equipment, unlimited Wi-Fi, X- Box and games and lots of other lovely features to help make your stay truly memorable.

There is off road parking for 2 plus cars.

Located on the southern edge of the seaside hamlet of Low Hauxley, a two minute drive or 5 minute walk from popular Amble, on the stunning Northumberland Heritage coast, you can enjoy the quiet, sandy beach opposite the house with views Coquet Island nature reserve. Staying here, you are also close to the friendly, neighbouring harbour town of Amble with plenty of popular restaurants, bistros and ice cream and coffee houses. Nearby are the river Coquet and Warkworth village with its medieval castle ruins, alongside an interesting range of independent shops, galleries and places to eat. There is something for everyone here. Low Hauxley Nature Reserve has a new visitor centre and circular walk. You are also within easy reach of Druridge Bay beach, lake and Druridge Pools nature reserve.

This cottage accepts up to three well behaved dogs.

  • Additional fourth double bedroom with smart TV with bathroom with separate shower and WC with balcony and sea views available at an additional charge of  £250 per week  or £150 for a short break

Great location ideal for dog walking and access to the beach. Plenty of space throughout with stunning views of the sea and kitchen well equipped. Welcome pack was a nice touch and the owners were welcoming and extremely helpful. We really enjoyed our holiday in spite of the poor weather. The house was in a lovely location and the owners next door were very friendly and helpful. A beautiful part of the country.

Very comfortable house with beautiful furnishings. Friendly and helpful owners next door happy to give suggestions but they're not intrusive. Our 3 dogs absolutely loved the wonderful beach. We took 45 minutes to walk to Amble but it's only 10-15 mins drive. Several supermarkets and good places to eat only 10-15 minute drive. We enjoyed the Puffin Read morecruise and were lucky to see young seals and dolphins too. Also enjoyed Warkworth castle & village, Alnwick gardens and Barter books. Hide

This property is in a fabulous, beachside location and is a credit to the owners, who have created it and made it so comfortable and keep it well maintained. We had a lovely few days and gorgeous weather to boot! Really hope to be back again soon.

The house is in a prime position for the beach and its not far to travel to see all the castles in the area like Bamburgh Alnwick and Warkworth just a short drive away. The beach is so beautiful and clean great for a morning run or just a stroll with the dog .We had a lovely week , the beds are huge and very comfy and we made use of some of the gamRead morees in the games and book cupboard. Ade the host lives just next door and very helpful for finding a great local pub or just a friendly chat Hide

Great location , with ideal beaches and sand dunes for dogs . Beachcombers Cottage is high quality in every respect , it is a credit to owners Ade and Lorraine who rebuilt and extended it from a derelict shell several years ago.. I have no hesitation in recommending it .

This house is in a fantastic location for beach, getting to Amble and nearby attractions. If you have dogs with you, its on a no through road so theres no need to worry about passing traffic and you can walk down to the beach or into Druridge county park without keeping dogs on leads. Ideal.

Beachcombers Retreat really is a wonderful find. A beautiful house in an excellent location with stunning views especially from the lounge window. The owners live next door and are a really lovely couple, on hand should you need them but never obtrusive, Ade is full of info if you chat to him and has some really good suggestions of places to go. Lovely location right on the coastal path. Great enclosed outdoor terrace to sit in the sun. The dogs loved it, as did we. A good size for four adults and two dogs. Walking distance of Amble village where there are plenty of restaurants. Easy day trip access to Holy Island, Alnwick, Craster etc.Owners live next door and are very helpful.
