8 Armstrong Cottages is ideally positioned in Bamburgh close to both the stunning beach and the impressive Bamburgh Castle (which can be seen from the back garden!)

Steeped in history, the Grade Two listed Armstrong Cottages were originally built by Lord Armstrong in the late 19th Century, for the workmen who were helping to restore the castle. Today, 8 Armstrong Cottages, provides a great self-catering holiday cottage for all the family with easy access to the coastal path for walks, cycle rides and fun days out on the beach. The centre of the village is just a short distance away and offers visitors easy access to a great range of restaurants, café’s, gift shops, an excellent butcher (you must try the Bamburgh Bangers!) and the inspiring Grace Darling Museum. The neighbouring village of Seahouses is just over 2 miles south, which via the harbour provides access to the popular boat trips to the Farne Islands to see the bird and seal reserves. Seahouses is also a bustling village with lots of great amenities.

8 Armstrong Cottages is a single storey property, comfortably sleeping up to four guests in two bedrooms, a double and a twin bedroom with a family bathroom. There is a lovely enclosed lawned garden at the rear of the cottage, with outdoor furniture provided. From the garden,  you can enjoy stunning views across to the dunes and towards the castle. Great for all seasons, 8 Armstrong Cottages has a cosy open fire in the open plan living area ensuring you stay warm and cosy all year round.

This cottage accepts two well behaved dogs. There is an additional charge, please see our terms and conditions (points 17-19) for more details of doggy house rules.

Perfect location and a bright and aired cottage that we felt very at home in. Great cottage and location. Cross the road and straight into sand dunes and an easy walk into Bamburgh. Fabulous beaches and never crowded...perfect pet friendly destination. We love it!!

Only a short walk from friendly Bamburgh and just over from the dunes and the beach, this cottage is in the ideal location to enjoy the Northumbrian coast. It's quiet without being isolated, easy to access from the A1, with a bus stopping outside to get to Seahouses. The cottage itself is beautifully maintained, with a double bed and a twin bedroom, immaculately clean and with a great shower/bath with lots of hot water. We had a lovely stay!
