No.3 Bamburgh Gate is a comtemporary and stylish, single-storey, holiday cottage for two and it is dog friendly so, you can bring your four legged friend on holiday too! It is the third and most recently developed conversion of a set of three former agricultural buildings. Smartly clad in black shiplap boards, it has the look of a Scandinavian summerhouse and is just as cosy and warm inside. It has an open plan lounge/kitchen with reclaimed beams, one double bedroom and a large shower room.

Once inside, with unspoilt open views south over open countryside, No. 3 Bamburgh Gate is set in truly relaxing surroundings, yet the bustling Bamburgh village with its excellent range of shops and restaurans, its breathtaking iconic castle and beautiful, golden sandy beach are just 10 minutes away by car. Thanks to two sets of large French doors, the cottage is flooded with natural light - bringing a spacious and open feel to the property – lie in bed and count the sheep!

With a cosy wood burning stove set on a reclaimed natural stone hearth in the spacious lounge, a private, enclosed patio garden, Wi-Fi*, (please see Accommodation Summary), a walk-in shower room, modern kitchen facilities and private parking, you will feel completely at home in this cosy, Northumberland cottage.

The village of Lucker, the nearest village to Bamburgh Gate (1 mile) now boasts a village shop, gastro pub, pizzeria/creperie and a beauty spa with a pool!

Enter from the enclosed, patio through French Doors into the open plan lounge and kitchen area.

Kitchen Area -  with a breakfast bar sytle table and chairs, fridge, electric oven and hob, toaster, kettle and cafetiere.

Lounge Area -  with a sofa for two, a bespoke glass top coffee table plus side tables and lamps, a flat screen TV with Freview and an attractive wood burning stove.

Bedroom - Double bed overlooking the bedroom's double French windows, with bedside drawers and lamps, a wardobe and chest of drawers.

Shower Room - With walk-in shower, modern wash basin with mirror over and WC.

Outside - Enclosed patio area overlooking beautiful countryside with small bistro table and two chairs, a raised flower bed and garden ornaments.

Parking - There is off-road parking for one car in the sahredd parking courtyard behind the cottage.

Everything looked brand new, TV in particular was brilliant being able to log in to Netflix via the Smart TV. 3 Bamburgh Gate was a fantastic location for our short break in Northumberland. The modern facilities combined with the light and airy interior made the cottage a delight for our 4 night stay. Despite the cold weather the cottage was warm and welcoming throughout. During our stay we visited Holy Island, Alnwick, Dunstanburgh Castle & Craster. Everywhere was dog friendly and we would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. Many thanks to the Cottages in Northumberland team for delivering a fantastic service.

3 Bamburgh Gate offers clean and comfortable accommodation, perfect for one person or two people. Everything provided. Quiet location and yet so close to the A1, giving easy access to lots of tourist attractions. Countryside views to the rear of the property are beautiful.

We were absolutely delighted on arrival at 3 Bamburgh Gate - the cottage is spotlessly clean with all the necessary requirements for a relaxing break. It's easy to access the whole of the county as it's close to the A1. The weather for the week was fabulous too. Our Shih Tzu loved the garden as it overlooked fields where cows were roaming about all day - we got some great photos of him peering over the stone wall ! There is a really decent dog friendly pub at Lucker ( a mile away), good food and a pleasant environment though perhaps advisable to book as it gets busy early evening no doubt due to its popularity. We visited Craster ( Shoreline Cafe is dog friendly) and Newton-by-the Sea ( again the Ship Inn is dog friendly, great food, good beer and a wonderful view to boot). We always visit Holy Island Bamburgh - favourite holiday locations of ours anyway they never fail to disappoint and are a must to visit. Alnmouth has a great beach for walking dogs too. We'd definitely stay here again.
