No.3 Bamburgh Gate is a comtemporary and stylish, single-storey, holiday cottage for two and it is dog friendly so, you can bring your four legged friend on holiday too! It is the third and most recently developed conversion of a set of three former agricultural buildings. Smartly clad in black shiplap boards, it has the look of a Scandinavian summerhouse and is just as cosy and warm inside. It has an open plan lounge/kitchen with reclaimed beams, one double bedroom and a large shower room.

Once inside, with unspoilt open views south over open countryside, No. 3 Bamburgh Gate is set in truly relaxing surroundings, yet the bustling Bamburgh village with its excellent range of shops and restaurans, its breathtaking iconic castle and beautiful, golden sandy beach are just 10 minutes away by car. Thanks to two sets of large French doors, the cottage is flooded with natural light - bringing a spacious and open feel to the property – lie in bed and count the sheep!

With a cosy wood burning stove set on a reclaimed natural stone hearth in the spacious lounge, a private, enclosed patio garden, Wi-Fi*, (please see Accommodation Summary), a walk-in shower room, modern kitchen facilities and private parking, you will feel completely at home in this cosy, Northumberland cottage.

During your stay at 3 Bamburgh Gate, you might be lucky to catch a glimpse of a Northumberland red squirrel, from the comfort of your cottage. There is a special feeder outside the property, where guests can encourage visits by placing hazelnuts in the special feeders. Sit back, relax and enjoy the sightings!

The village of Lucker, the nearest village to Bamburgh Gate (1 mile) now boasts a village shop, gastro pub, pizzeria/creperie and a beauty spa with a pool!

Enter from the enclosed, patio through French Doors into the open plan lounge and kitchen area.

Kitchen Area -  with a breakfast bar sytle table and chairs, fridge, electric oven and hob, toaster, kettle and cafetiere.

Lounge Area -  with a sofa for two, a bespoke glass top coffee table plus side tables and lamps, a flat screen TV with Freview and an attractive wood burning stove.

Bedroom - Double bed overlooking the bedroom's double French windows, with bedside drawers and lamps, a wardobe and chest of drawers.

Shower Room - With walk-in shower, modern wash basin with mirror over and WC.

Outside - Enclosed patio area overlooking beautiful countryside with small bistro table and two chairs, a raised flower bed and garden ornaments.

Parking - There is off-road parking for one car in the sahredd parking courtyard behind the cottage.

The cottage was as described and met our expectations. Standards were extremely high. Disposable cleaning cloths and washing up sponges all replaced for our visit. Tea towels and towels in the bathroom of good quality. Bedding fresh and of good quality. We always used your company when visiting Northumberland. Your administrators are always helpful and have a great deal of knowledge. Always respond prompt to phone calls back etc. We enjoyed a peaceful stay at No3 Bamburgh Gate Cottage. The dog friendly accommodation was fresh and well furnished. Easily accessible to Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell. We especially like the beach at Alnmouth. It is also good to find free or low cost parking near to walks and beaches. So many times convenient parking comes with a significant charge.

Extremely clean and very well equipped. In a prime location for reaching other villages in Northumberland. The cottage was as described on your website beautifully furnished, in a great location and due to the time of year we visited was very warm and cozy. The local pub/restaurant The Apple Inn served excellent food and is very dog friendly. The staff were extremely warm and friendly. Also the service I received when booking the cottage was exceptional,the lady was extremely friendly and helpful.

Lovely cottage. I think we got the best cottage at number 3 Bamburgh Gate. I would very much recommend. Bamburgh Castle and beach is a 5 minute drive away which is lovely. Decent location. Co op in Seahouses is big enough for a week shop. We noticed that the hot water went out a couple of times but if was left to reset would come back on. Newton on sea was very nice. Don't be afraid to explore!
